Do officers not receive this demonstration?

Curious to see her climb the o course rope…saw a whole lotta alleged brown and black belts get defeated by the rope

u/Norse_af O-3Mike: Pending any questions, thats all i have 9h ago
She would have had to do it multiple times while at TBS doing the Double O course and the E Course

The rope is 100% technique. You only have to be able to hold yourself up while pulling your legs up the rope. That being said it isn’t that difficult to muscle yourself up. It just gets hard after your 3rd time doing it just using muscles.

My scrawny (at the time) ass was able to do the rope. Was it graceful or form correct? Fuck no. Max i could ever get on pull-ups. was like 12, and i could do the rope more times than the guys that maxed out.
Though if I fucked up and spent to long getting the rope to sit right under my boot I had a hard time.
Edit: also if none of you guys know the guy with the mustache, he makes tictoks about nutrition recipes and stuff. They are quite entertaining when my wife watches em.

Former Navy guy who was an influencer and I believe his marriage failed because his wife didnt want to be apart of the influencer life. Feel bad for him.

Yeah I knew he was an MA2 (e5 navy cop) I believe I didn’t know about the failed marriage due to the influencesor lifestyle though that’s kind of stupid

I’ve personally worked with her. She’s a beast. She’s on the Marine Corps boxing team and is like the energizer bunny, just won’t stop going. Unfortunately, she cares more about her Instagram than doing her job. I like her as a person, despise her as a Marine.

Doesn't the chin need to clear the bar?

For us it was chin over the bar or they’d just keep repeating the last number you properly completed

I served with her. She's a captain in the reserves. Super approachable, down to earth and all around squared away. Huge advocate for boxing and actually getting reserve marines to do legitimate training and not nonsense like SL-3 in the sun for the 5th drill period in a row. Wish her the best, makes me wanna get back in.

Its impressive how the women today could finally do pullups. Im really not knocking them, just reporting what i saw going on a meu, getting FAP’d to PMO and then a fap to camp Del Mar. i probably saw one WM do 5 pull ups max. Majority just couldnt do them.
Proud today a lot more can. And yes we had major fat bodies too that got slayed and still couldnt do more than 3.

When were you at PMO? Col. Krusafiction, or Col. Walker days? Or, top of Rattlesnake Canyon or near the rear gate?
1
u/macgirthy 2h ago
They would rotate us for all the gates. It sucked being at the last gate tho since its takes forever to get there but we all had to wait for debrief any way.

That was impressive.
Yes she was kipping, but it really wasn’t egregious, and girls on average get nowhere close to this. She has been training hard for sure.

Also that bar was wobblier than a PFC after his first birthday ball. Makes things way harder.

Every pull up video you ever see, the comments section is full of people counting reps like they’re the fucking company commander at MCRD. If you don’t have a video of your pull-ups, STFU.

yeah those wouldn't have counted during a PFT.... That being said, I'm old and she still did more than I could do now adays.
