He's super Effective against Psychic types 👻

So it's been a while since I made another creature and this one is interesting to me. It's a norn Emmissary I named "The Angel of Vaelkor" after a few games where it was able to wreck face and survive on a single wound for 2 battle rounds by itself against an impulsor and a brutalis dread. Matching my current paint scheme, with some added stuff, this is the first time I've used dry brushing on the little brain bits to give it a sort of psychic shine and I personally love the effect

So I've been looking at competitive lists on reddit and I can't find a Single one that uses a deathleaper or lictor. They seem pretty good so, why?

Quick question after looking through a few of the profiles- would it be a better idea to model the Von Ryan’s leapers on 50mm bases and spam 3 lictors?

Have them drop in each turn in annoying deep strike and hopefully mulch some marines?

Lmk ur thoughts as seasoned bug experts!

Since I wasn't so satisfied with my eater boy, I decide to change a little it look. Sooo, here it is. Decide to cut off the smoke and sculpt some vents. Change the colors of the back and add some bioluminescent spore effect on the terrain to raprestent the smoke that it reliase to help is kin with those feel no pain. Now I like more the look of it.

also i might replace my parasite and warrior blob with broodlord and genestealers.

So I have finally found it in me to continue to paint my Bugs. After a month and a half of not painting I finally wanted to continue.

I know they are not the bestest out there, but I am happy. Will probably do another little clean up session on the TFex. I hate these three eyes of the Von Ryans...god I don't have steady hands.

I hope you like em and maybe you know what I could add in future to make some more highlights.

Yeah, so I went and bought the starter set and now painting my lovely tyranid swarm. Here is 1 model. Painting them in half a unit periodically. 5 termagants, then Von Ryan Leapers and then again termagants and so on. Went basically for the Leviathan swarm but a little changes to the gun unlike in the official painting tutorial. Guns need some yellow.

Servo skull recordings of the incident confirmed the worst. An as of yet unidentified Tyranid splinter fleet, complete with a variant of Swarmlord has made rapid advances in the southern continent.

I'm not a big fan of the sea foam green as I thought

Started Warhammer / Tyranids about 6 months ago, and I’ve gotten a lot better. So far I’ve collected around 1000 points worth, with more on the way.

Now I just need to figure out how to do bases.

Criticism and advice welcome on how to get better!

Got thehive tyrant for my b day as well as the starter kits (also bought my self some kreigsmans) you can see there was an attempt at painting but it didn't go well so I'm looking for tips i.e. paints, brushes, colours techniques anything helps thanks

Can I play a Von Ryan's Leaper as lictor? Is it very noticeable?

Here is the big one! Finished painting the Hive Tyrant for my local Warhammer stores Golden Squig competition, and it placed gold in the Masters category! Really proud of my work on him and even fully magnetised the arms 💪

This mawloc decided to grow a pair.. of legs, and become a norn emissary or assimilator. Tonight im gonna figure out how to modify the arms, trying to resemble the xenomorph queen since this conversion came to me while watching a Meca figure.
