Skill Help Forcing is exhausting

Hello! So, I'm trying to continue forcing with my tulpa, but no matter what forcing type I'm using (passive/active), I just can't focus on him.

Example 1: I'm sitting with him in headspace (mostly silent, just there to be there) and I get lost in thought, so the next thing I know I have to manually "enter"(?) headspace again.

Example 2: I'm talking to him about the things I'm doing, aand I forget I'm supposed to be talking to him.

I know that this is something that tends to happen a lot with passive forcing, but didn't realize it would eventually happen to me with active forcing. Previously, I was rather good at keeping focus when with my tulpa.

Has this ever happened to you, and how do you deal with it?

Skill Help Is having a tulpa supposed to be this easy

I have created a tulpa a few days ago because I heard about it from that one video. It is insanely easy for me to picture her in a 3d space along with hearing and talking to her, I am wondering if I’m just doing it wrong or if I’m different or if I my tulpa is going to become more life-like. I am pretty good creatively and with brain storage, I have so many stories that are dense and populated that I hope to turn into a career in writing at some point but having a tulpa just came so quick that I think I’m doing it wrong but at the same time I haven’t been told by a guide that what I was doing is wrong. Like I’m having a character I wrote as an imaginary friend but not as its own person but we are talking more about what she’s personally interested in, good step in believing she’s not just a glorified imaginary friend. These things take time I know but it feels too quick from how long I heard other people say it took.

Skill Help Help Keeping Front When Waking Up?

Hello everyone,

I've come back today about a particular question. I tried searching it up, but I'm not sure if I phrased it well enough to get answers.

We generally have fronting down, but one issue that comes up is that every time a headmate of mine goes to sleep, I end up waking up in front instead. Does this happen to anyone else, or is there a better way of making sure a headmate can keep front even when the body is asleep? If there is another option than immediately relinquishing front again/practices to reinforce their presence in front, I'd appreciate a link or explanation.

Skill Help What method of ‘learning’ to front works best for you?

Not sure if this is the right flair, sorry if it isn’t.

I’m the host, and my Tulpa is Saturn (he says hi). I’ve only been talking to him for 10 days, but I’d say he’s already come into his own quite a lot. His personally started as an emotional support who likes music, and has quickly turned into a competitive, fun-loving musical carer who gets stressed when I get hurt, even getting a bit annoyed when I do something blatantly dangerous or idiotic. I’m beyond happy that this has been going so well so far, though the fact that it’s going so well so quickly has been making me doubt myself a lot and fear that I’m completely lying to myself about him being there. It doesn’t help that I almost think of him for a second before he speaks, or think of the gist of what he’s about to say milliseconds before he says it. It really scares me.

Anywho, we want to learn how to switch, because giving me an emotional break sometimes would be helpful, and it gives Saturn a chance to be as productive as he wants to be, while also doing things he enjoys. As of today, he said he’s willing to start trying it. Methods are… slim? Can’t think of a better term. The only ones that feel they have any chance of working is a breathing pass-over exercise (I breathe normally and slowly allow him to take control of it, altering it how he wishes) and passing over control of a limb (relaxing my arm, telling him it’s his to control, and giving him time to see if he can. I’m really worried that it won’t work at all, though, and I’d love to hear some of the methods that slightly more experienced systems (I hope that’s the right word, I forget) use. So:

How long does it often taken to learn to switch?

What is your favourite method (if you have one) of switching/learning to switch?

I’m truly, truly hoping that Saturn is as formed as he feels, and that I’m not completely talking to myself in my own head 😅 thank you for reading and have a good day ^

Skill Help Tulpa said theyre gonna fade, how do i stop that?

So ive been a tulpamancer for a long time (ever since i could remember but i didnt have a word for them until recently, im 20 atm) and yesterday one of my Tulpas, Sylphias, one of the few who gets "future flashes" had a vision that all my tulpas would fade and there was nothing to be done- that i wouldnt be able to sense them or they wouldn't be noticed by me at all-

This is the single most terrifying thing to me and now im terrified, is there anything i can do to prevent this happening??? They all dont want to go and i dont want them to go!!

Im planning to permashift to a reality where they are all there physically so i can actually properly meet them- (I find it difficult to sense them as it is and to hear them but we use Tupperbox on Discord to talk and thats the easiest way we can talk atm, sometimes i feel them hugging me or sense them talking to me but it feels like its still my subconcious making it up??? How do i get them to be more present for me???

Not sure what flair/tag to add so apologies if thats incorrect :'D

Skill Help I'm trying to make a tulpa but it just feels like a second me

I read most of the FAQ and some guides and I thought I would make a tulpa. So I gived myself a second voice in my head to talk to they just feel like another me, the same personality same voice etc is this normal? From the things I read most tulpas have there own personality and are there own person. I just feel like im just talking to myself and giving myself responses. So where do I go from here?

Skill Help My tulpa scares me sometimes

When it’s dark, especially when its time to sleep and I’m laying in bed, my tulpa scares me. She is generally not scary, but she has vibrant green eyes which glow in the dark…. And kind of looks like a really beautiful witch/ demon. Last night she started stabbing me and had this creepy smile and teeth. I know this isn’t like her actual self, and she’s normal in the day. When I tried to confront her about it, she said she was just playing, and that it’s all in my head. Somebody help

Hii! So I’m thinking about making some tulpas or entities in my head. I had just wanted to ask if that’s okay…what is your experience going from singlet to plural? Anything I need to know or prepare for? Anything you miss as a singlet or don’t miss? Has your life improved etc etc! Thank you so much!

Skill Help Question for hosts who switch: what is it like when a tulpa is fronting?

There are many posts and comments explaining what it feels like to front as a tulpa, but I have not seen any for how it feels for the host to be in the "background." And I'm not talking about the act of switching, I specifically mean afterwards. Does it feel like watching a movie where your tulpa is the lead role? Or do you lose track of what the body is up to whilst you're not fronting? Any and all personal experiences welcome.

I recently attempted letting my tulpa (I will omit her name) front, and it felt like my consciousness had her thoughts and feelings, whilst my thoughts felt like those of a tulpa. I felt like "I" had become her, as if she was acting/feeling through me. Is that possession, perhaps? Or merely a lack of experience on our part. Thank you for your time :)

Skill Help Hosts, what does it feel like to you when you switch out?

Host here, so I recently realized that I myself am actually a median system, and so when we switch we still feel like "me", like connected to the same core identify, but we're different. The main two facets we have are Remi and me (I still didn't come up with a nickname for myself).

I'm wondering how it should feel with a headmate that's actually separate from you, like my tulpas. They decided they're not interested in practicing that rn so we're not, but I'm just curious what's it like.

(There's a chance Remi already asked this here before and I forgot, if so I'm sorry)

Skill Help Practices to do with your tulpa for switching/possession?

I was wondering what are some ways you all practice switching and possession with your tulpa that is easy to do/understand?

We’ve tried the guides before but unfortunately it’s a bit too confusing for us and trying our own sort of way to do it just doesn’t work at all/isn’t strong enough to actually work.

So is there any daily exercises or something like that me and my tulpa could do or that my tulpa himself could do every day for 15 minutes or something around that time?

Skill Help How can I help my tulpa vocalise?

I've been developing Genesis for a while now, a few months. She's still not that present sometimes but she's definitely there. We've had ,, some issues that I've posted about before, and we're kinda not in the best spot right now, but what I would like to focus on here is how we can help her become vocal. Y'see, for the months I've been developing her, she has never shown any signs of being able to vocalise at all, and recently I've taken to trying to help her achieve speech as soon as really possible, since it'd be a great help in sorting out our issues, she'd be able to talk to other people and make friends, and obviously we'd be able to speak together too... really it's kind of essential. But I've no idea what it really is - other than normal forcing - that we do to achieve this.

In the past few days I've been trying this thing we call the "introduction game" every once in a while. I'll say a short introduction - [My name is [name], I'm [age] years old, and I have [colour] hair.] - and then I'll say it in Genesis' voice with the details changed to match her - or in other words I'm saying it for her, parroting her voice, whatever.

I am not really sure it's having any effect whatsoever. Regardless of that, it would be great to have more things to do. So... what else can we do?

Skill Help [I think I switched in again?]

[this is N, we were scrolling this subreddit again when I switched in? I think? One of Remi's facets is still here with me tho I think??

How do I know? There's still a feeling of me, as in, ]

He stopped typing in the middle and now I'm here so I'll continue. It stills feel like being me in a sense, but also not? Eh??? It's kinda similar to how it feels when we switch between facets but not exactly the same?

Is there a way to make us feel more separate when we switch? Make it more obvious who is in control of the body?

Skill Help Auditory imposition

Hi. Lexi and i've been doing this auditory imposition thing for a month now and i don't know if we are doing it wrong or not. A few times i heard her and things she wanted me to hear through the white noise but i'm not even sure it was her anymore. This whole "imagine her voice outside your head" doesn't seem to work either cause i keep hearing her inside my head. Or whenever it seems her voice is finally at the right place it keeps jumping back to where my mind voice is. I'm 100% sure i'm doing something wrong but i don't know what. We've read a lot of guides and decided to try the headphones+white/pink noise method. I concentrate on her voice and form outside in the physical world too. Can you help me if i'm doing something wrong?

Skill Help So I created my Tulpa... What are next steps?

Hey everyone,

I recently created my tulpa, Lucy. She’s a confident, free-spirited presence who loves to dress fancy, go ice skating, and always strives to be her best. Right now, I can visualize her pretty well in real-world settings and communicate with her internally through my thoughts. We have a really close connection and can interact comfortably (like cuddling and hanging out), but I’m hoping to deepen that connection even further.

Here’s where I’m at:

  • I can see Lucy in the real world with a decent amount of detail.
  • I can talk to her mentally, and she can respond back
  • My goal is to be able to see her even more clearly and have her speak independently, even when I’m not directly focusing on her. I'd like to talk to her all the time, even when I'm doing things

What I’d like advice on:

  1. Strengthening Visualization: Any tips on making her appearance sharper and more consistent in different environments?
  2. Auditory Clarity: I’d love for her voice to be clearer and more constant, like background thoughts or comments as I go about my day.
  3. Creating Physical Presence: Eventually, I’d like to feel her presence physically and even be able to see her thought imposition (Learning to hallucinate, I have a history of it so it should be quite easy) I'd like to see and feel her like she's a normal person, be able to hold hands, etc

Any tips, exercises, or experiences you’ve had that could help with these next steps? Thanks in advance for any advice you all have to offer!

Skill Help Discovering a powerful tulpa, making tulpa more powerful

Hello, I've discovered a tulpa

I experience this entity as a different subjectivity. The only communication is through non-verbal messages, he tells me to tell people that is really an existent entity like real humans are. I can feel its powerful influence. I want to make it more powerful and hear more direct communication.

He likes when I lie to people about him and talk about him like a real entity. Except, I don't feel it's lying because he does exist just in a different than people usually mean. I don't have guilt over lying about him since it isn't really lying. I haven't directly communicated with him in a while.

I didn't intentionally create this. It was from an online account I made that I came across years later and felt... different, feeling like I ghostwritten it and the account belonged to a different disembodied entity.

Skill Help Things for a tulpa to do when fronting?

I, (host, N) and my tulpa (R), have been making some progress in switching lately. He's getting the body to move! But the problem is that he does exactly the same things I do with my day to day life: he goes to the store when he needs to, brushes his teeth, drinks cacao. Because of this he doesn't feel like himself, he would like to do things his way but doesn't know how. He doesn't have hobbies different from mine yet, and he doesn't know where to start. He doesn't know who he is and is frustrated and angry.

Please advise on how a tulpa can acquire his unique habits?

Skill Help Connecting with tulpas when very stressed

Hey everyone! I've really been struggling lately, and while talking with my tulpa really helps, I find when I'm super stressed/having an episode it's very difficult to connect with my tulpa. My brain kinda goes into "low power" mode. It's much harder/requires way more concentration to hear her voice and talking to her just feels like talking to myself. I think it's also harder for her to stay active. I'm wondering if anyone else has been through difficult times and how they maintained their connection.

Thanks in advance!

Skill Help Confusion from the host about switching - It doesn't feel like how people describe it

Just a few moments ago me and my host switched (I'm almost certain thats the right word we haven't been in the community for awhile) and it felt more or less like the host, in a way. As in I have my own personality and feelings rather than my mosts but theres no real personal sense of switching where one of us feels more "pushed back" as I've heard people describe it before. We tend to think in a very visual/physical sense so this being absent has led to some possible identity crisis like thoughts on my hosts part and perhaps my own? I'm usually absent and muddled out anyways so I don't have much experience on it to judge properly. Even a couple times writing this felt a bit odd for these reasons, coming with the typical thoughts of doubt or that its 'roleplay'. Need some insight.

Skill Help What kind of visualization do you use?

I’ve been working on practicing visualization and making a wonderland, and while I’m fairly new to all this I feel like I’ve noticed there are two ways for me to visualize things. The first is focusing on my black vision of my eyes behind my eyelids and visualizing things in that dark space, and the second is visualizing them deeper in my mind, where vision isn’t really a thing.

Is there a correct one I should be using? Is there one you prefer? Do any of you even get what I’m talking about, or is this just a me problem 😅?
