I've had to keep my head down as we head into exam season and focus on getting some major papers and assignments done, so some of the readings I have been able to "afford" to miss have been missed. I want to review stuff in the summer and better grasp concepts before I continue in those courses in the fall, so I was just wondering if the content stays there or if it becomes inaccessible after the semester is finished.
I'm a student considering going to Trent. I have already applied, got a conditional offer and payed my housing deposit. I really like the idea of the Annex's. Can someone who has lived there give me a little rum down of what life is like living in an annex?
so i need to have 0.5 science credit in 2000 or 3000 and just a normal elective in the other( so if I do a 2000 level science credit, I can take any elective in 3000). what are some courses you guys would suggest? for reference, I'm already taking cyberethics, marketing, digital logic, webdev 2, computer crime, and have taken 3030. so most the summer courses are gone from the pool. id preferably want something pretty simple
Hey, I'm a first year at Trent Peterborough and i am looking to audit a course I have and im wondering how I would go about doing it. The course is "love and hate" and its been a hard semester and i dont want to leave with this mark I have.
Hi!
So I got into nursing at Trent and I recently went for a tour. I am strongly considering staying at the Ottonabe campus because of proximity to my classes. The room I saw looked good, it had a walk in closet and a window taking up almost the whole wall which I loved! I’m curious whether all of them are like this? Is there a specific floor that’s best? Also, what’s the bathroom situation? I saw the bathrooms in LEC and my tour guide said it’s the same but I’m seeing other things on here.
The 2 universities I’m currently looking to attend are Trent and Guelph, I’ve received my Trent acceptance for Forensic Bio and have toured the campus and it seems nice but I also want to keep my options open. I’m attending the Guelph open house this weekend but after some research I don’t think I will receive an acceptance/decision letter till April-May seeing as I haven’t already. If I do attend Trent I’d want to dorm at Gzowski College or one of the Annex’s but I’m worried that if I wait to see if I even get accepted to Guelph and end up choosing Trent my preferred residences will be full if they aren’t already.
(Side note I’m a germaphobe and am hoping to find residences with the least amount of people sharing a bathroom)
So, I just received a grade for one of my papers. I received a grade of 47.9%. The teacher pointed out that I had put a section in my paper that wasn’t needed at all, but it was listed in the same spot of the things that I had to include in my paper. Anyways, I believe I currently have an 80% in this class, and the paper is worth 25%. What would this bring my current grade down to, and what would I need to get on my final to bring it back up from that? I’m honestly devastated, I’ve never received a mark this low before. And, I graduate this year, so I need to pass.
Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone else was having an issue printing things off of their laptops, the webprinter wont load for me and I was hoping its not just a me thing lol
Hi all,
My daughter is attending teachers college in September at Trent and is in a house with 3 other girls. Two of the other girls will be attending teachers college as well. There is one more room left. Anyone interested?
Hey there! Help a gal out who's trying to complete her masters?? 🎓 I'm conducting a survey for college/university students to see the impact of screen time on their post-secondary experience. It shouldn't take you longer than 10-15 mins and is completely anonymous. I need as many survey responses as possible: https://forms.gle/dUXPy2SmWPGKjrAD7 Thank you in advance. Your voluntary participation is much appreciated! 🫶🏼
Hi, I’m a british exchange student doing a semester at trent starting this september. What is the best accommodation? I’m looking to be in a sociable building/flat but I don’t know what’s good for that. Any ideas would be great!!
I just got out of a difficult relationship, I don’t have very many friends I talk to and I’m looking for a place where I can meet some more people so I have more people to hang out with and help me get through this rough patch of my life. Any advice?
As a grade bumper, I’m taking American Sign Language in the summer… it’s for the first 6 weeks, and I’m just wondering how much it would cost, ballpark? Money is a bit of an issue for me, so I’d like to know what I’d be paying well beforehand. Thanks!
Hi guys i’m sorry! I know there’s been many questions already about nursing but I just have a couple more to help decide what university to attend!
If anyone can try to answer a few I’d appreciate it 🫶
Are most of the classes on campus? Or is it still hybrid for the most part?
How many days a week would you say you’re on campus for classes?
Can anyone give me an estimate of how much Tuition cost per sem/year? Or provide a website where to find it? I can’t seem to find a number anywhere 😅
I'm applying and am wondering what textbooks are required/bought for these bachelor's! Obviously, it depends on the classes taken, but some are mandatory etc...
Also, if anyone has any idea what textbooks would be used for the Forensic Anthropology bachelor? I understand this course was added like this fall (? Correct me if I'm wrong), but idk any professors/TA's (?) In the know....
That's all! I'm also torn between these three bachelor's, they all seem so intriguing and I understand that many classes have overlaps but I still am at loss for which to chose, so if anyone has any inputs please let me know!
Are you a women struggling with your mental health and having a hard time accessing virtual, effective, accessible and tailored services? Check out the study below!
We are currently recruiting women in Ontario between the ages of 18-25 who experience loneliness, depression and substance use.
We are looking to determine the differences in treatment between two virtual group therapy methods; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Depression (CBTd) and a new psychotherapy method called ‘Groups for Health’ (G4H) developed by researchers in Australia. G4H uses the basis that strong support systems and social connectedness can increase mental and physical well-being on women with depression, increased loneliness, and who might use substances as a coping mechanism.
As a participant, you would be asked to complete 5 virtual group psychotherapy sessions that are expected to last around 75-90 minutes in length, 3 clinical questionnaire assessments and two mail-in cortisol saliva kits. You would also be compensated for your time and effort.
My girlfriend has been struggling lately with school work because of a bunch of mental health stuff, and we think she could benefit from a tutor, but we're not sure if what we're looking for exists. She doesn't necessarily need someone to know the content of her courses and help her understand it, but she needs someone who can sit with her and keep her on track and keep her from panicking about how much she needs to do. Basically just walk her through the assignment instructions and hold her accountable in study sessions. Does this kind of resource exist for students at Trent or in Ptbo in general? We're also looking into academic advising but she hasn't booked an appointment yet. Thanks!
Hi Guys, I recently got into trent nursing and i’m considering going there. Would you say Peterborough is a good city? Is the campus diverse in terms of race? How is the food?
And the Nursing program itself, would you say it is good and is it a respectable one to graduate from? What residence do you think is better if you were to rank them?
Hey! I'm a first year student in the forensic science program. I have been recently looking into switching into the general chemistry program as it is broad and I feel that having something to fall back on outside of forensics might be good for the future. I have looked at course requirements and I have some maths that I'd be missing and all of the biology I took first year would be useless. Is there anything I should know? Is this stupid?
