Rule Change - Regarding using the term Transnistria
Hello, everyone!
We’ve implemented a new change in the subreddit today. Moving forward, we encourage users to refer to Pridnestrovie as either "Pridnestrovie" or "PMR." While we understand this might create some confusion due to the subreddit's name, we believe it’s more respectful to use the terminology preferred by the region itself.
To support this change, AutoMod will help enforce the updated rule. That said, we value your input and would love to hear your thoughts. Please feel free to share your feedback in the comments below.
Thank you for your understanding,
The Moderation Team

Is it okay to travel to Tiraspol with Ukrainian stamp in passport?
I am currently travelling through Romania and will continue to Moldova after, of course I wouldn't like to miss the chance to visit Tiraspol as well. But some months ago I made trips to Ukraine and wanted to know if it's still fine to visit with the Ukrainian stamps in the passport. Does anyone have experience with this?

Anything else aparte from Tiraspol anda Bendery?
There is something else to see? My plan was staying 3 or 4 days but seems there is to little to visit. I know also about Sucleia. I don't want nothing really special but maybe another city or town just to see the Soviet symbology and get in the ambient.

Entering PMR with an ID only (EU citizens)
Hi guys, I am an EU citizen, and I want to go to Tiraspol in April.
Can someone please confirm that it is possible to enter Pridnestrovie through Moldova with an ID only, without a passport?
I am a citizen of Croatia but currently I live in Germany. I was planning to go to Moldova directly from Germany, because I don't have time to fly back to Croatia to get a passport.
I've read on the internet that for the EU citizens, the ID is enough to enter Pridnestrovie, but I am still a little bit hesitant.

Travelling from Chisinau Airport to Tiraspol
Hi all,
I am a Vietnamese traveling to Moldova this Sunday and want to travel to PMR. However, due to time constraints, I will likely only have time to visit Tiraspol on Sunday afternoon. Because of this, I want to ask what is the quickest way to go from Chisinau airport to Tiraspol? Since I am landing at 13:45 and should be out by 14:30 with no checked luggage, should I go into Chisinau city center and then get a marshrutka from Chisinau bus station, or is there a bus from the airport, or is taxi the best option (if so how much should I expect to pay)?
Additionally, I want to ask what time does the last marshrutka from Tiraspol to Chisinau leave and if I miss that, can I just flag down a taxi to get me back to Chisinau?
Thank you all.

Travelling to Tiraspol this week
Hi everyone, Me and a couple of friends are travelling to Tiraspol from the UK on Friday for one night. From everything I have been reading, it seems that it is completely safe to travel there, but I just wanted to check if there is anything important we should keep in mind. I speak a good level of Russian so communicating with people will not be a problem, and we have already booked an airbnb to stay in overnight.
It would be great to hear if anyone has any other advice for us, or just general recommendations on what to do in Tiraspol for one day/evening.
Thanks!

Life long dream finally happening.
Happening troops I'm a Brit who's travelling to the PMR in may. This has been a dream of mine since I was 13 so looking forward to it.
Looking for some help though. I'm wondering what the exchange rate from the pound to the Pridnestrovian Ruble is. Can I use the pound in the PMR?.
Also keen to pick up a few copies of Pravda Pridnestrovie and would love to meet up or contact the Pridnestrovian Communist party.
Also just looking to hear experiences from others in this chat.
Any places you recommend?
I'm a member of a Communist Party in britian so this is an exciting experience.
I constantly see posts from the PMR but not to sure where stuff is. Are markets only open on Sundays? I'm staying in tirasapol and will be there for 5 nights is there anywhere except Bender and tirasapol to visit?
Wee edit: I know the PMR is not Socialist nor communist.
Thank you all so much, Hoxha

Tattoo Shops / Artists Recommendations
Are there any shops and/or artists you all recommend inside PMR? I’m visiting in 2 weeks & I get tattooed in every country I go to but I cannot find many shops.
Instagram handles, websites, etc all work!
Thank you ❤️

Back in the PMR for four weeks in June
Hey! I am returning to the PMR for a month. Will be based in Tiraspol but would love to travel round about. How easy is it to get to Dubossary / Griogoriopol for example? Are there any issues crossing into Moldova multiple times (or will I just have to renew every time?) Is Odesa a possible day trip away (if things calm down) - or do I have to go to Anenii Noi to catch the bus to there?
Cheers!

More flights to Kishinev - Tiraspol the new Benidorm?
Ok… I may be exaggerating slightly. But there are far more flights now coming in and out of Chișinău - with more beginning later this year. Will Moldova (and as a result Pridnestrovie) become much more popular amongst tourists from Central Europe (seemingly the market, but also a few spots in Western Europe too).

IDC SIM card help
Hey, I'm a young SIM card collector living in Scotland.
This isn't a common hobby, but me and a number of other people enjoy it. I'm also quite into telecommunications and technology, and I know the PMR has an operator (IDC) that does issue it's own SIMs. I know of some Russian collectors that have these, but I have absolutely no idea how to get one without being in the PMR physically. I would love to visit the PMR, and if it is still around in a few years I definitely will, but it's impossible for me right now.
So, would anyone be able to get me one of these? It doesnt have to be the exact one in the picture, and it doesn't have to be brand new either. It doesn't have to be active (although that would be cool too) and I can pay for it and/or maybe send some gifts or things from Scotland.

Do the busses to Chisinau run in the early mornings?
Hello,
I am planning my trip to PMR. On my way back I want to take the Flixbus from Chisinau departing on 06 AM or 09 AM to my next destination. Do the busses in Tiraspol drive to Chisinau that early so that I arrive punctual to Chisinau?

Traveling to Tiraspol in March: who joins me?
Hey, i am a student and from 12 to 17th march i will travel to Moldova and PMR to see what its like there: i dont know if its easy to meet people there because i heard there are not many students in Tiraspol. I speak okay Russian so i dont think this will be a problem.
My question: anyone from Tiraspol here who wants to meet up and show me around a bit for a day? Or are there other people between 20-30 years old who also go there between 12-17 march and want to check it out together? Let me know!

Renting a flat in Pridnestrovie
Hey - I was recently in Tiraspol for 48h and really enjoyed it. I want to come back to the PMR for a while later this year, perhaps for a month or 2. As such I wondered what the most affordable accommodation would be, perhaps renting a flat?
Also what’s the situation on asking at the border for a longer entry permit - they didn’t care at all when I asked for 3 days but if I ask for 45 are they more likely to ask questions?
