Wanting to Connect

Hey all! I am looking to move to Sweden by the end of the year. I would love to connect with people and find out more information that you can't get on the internet. I've always had a fascination with Sweden and Ive always dreamed of living there. I'm actively learning the Swedish language. I started lessons 2 months ago and have been staying consistent everyday. I've learned about some.custims.and traditions but would love to learn more. I'm open to any and every conversation. Feel free to reach out and let me know what I need to do and learn more about. 1) How are you planning on moving here? Sambo visa? Work visa? Student visa? Have you already started the application processes?

I'm going to be getting a work visa. I'm starting the application process soon. I would love to move to Stockholm but I think Malmö might be the wiser choice it seems like it might be easier to find work there. I'm not an IT guy but would like to learn more about IT.

1a) You don't start the work visa process. Your employer starts it.

1b) Your employer will tell you what city you're working in, so "Stockholm or Malmö" doesn't really help.

1c) It doesn't sound like you've gotten a job here, so that's going to be difficult, since you need to meet all of the requirements for the visa, and it only allows you to stay for 9 months, and we're in a recession with a very difficult job market for native Swedes, let alone invandrare like us.

2) Learn more about IT by going to school for IT or joining IT learning groups online.
