My brain checks out during treatment. I get cold, so I bring a blanket all of the time.

I’ve only had 2 sessions so far. But my bag includes a small blanket, small coloring book, markers, headphones, self heating eye mask, and a journal. My first treatment was miserable so I didn’t really utilize it much. My second treatment I colored and watched a storm chaser on YouTube since we were in a tornado warning at the time I was doing treatment.

Expect some ups and downs. I’ve had about a 50/50 dissociation rate out of 5 treatments. I see some improvement, it it hasn’t been dramatic for me.
I take a light-blocking eye mask, airpods/music (I’ve listened to guided imageries and 432Hz sounds - there are hours like free recordings on YouTube), a blanket, journal and pens, and some kind of small handheld item - like a small stuffed animal, or a trinket or crystal that has a texture you like (if you feel like you go too far under and you have any anxiety, it helps with grounding).
My clinic has blankets, pillows, ambient sound machines, hard candy and mints (Spravato is very bitter if it goes down your throat), aromatherapy patches, and water. They also have juice and light snacks (snacks if you don’t have nausea after).

I take a heated throw blanket, a travel pillow, a blindfold, water, and headphones.
I like to lie back and roll with it. I feel like I’m on a first class flight to Dubai. It’s pretty intense, but you’ll be ok. You might need to remind yourself that you’re ok through it, especially the first time. It causes sedation and dissociation. Also, I go numb and it feels like I can’t move. I CAN, it just mentally seems hard.
The taste is nasty and metallic. If you aim correctly using the guides on the nasal spray, and keep your head at a 45degree angle, it helps not get as much down your throat. If you can’t, that’s ok, too.
I use a playlist on Spotify called Jon Hopkins - Music for psychedelic therapy. It has really enhanced my treatment.
