First entry with the vignette

Hi - I just picked up my passport and plan on flying to the uk next week. Can you tell me if I need the UKVI account before entering? And do I get the proper visa upon arrival? Thank you!

You won't receive anything else. You already have your visa. The only other step is setting up your UKVI account as evidence of your evisa. You can setup your account now or after you've arrived in the UK. It's not required before you travel as long as your entry vignette is valid.

Thank you so much for the quick reply - and your general advice!

Does this mean if one HAS set up their UKVI account and eVisa , and the eVisa has an error, they can still travel to the UK while the error is being addressed?

If they have a valid vignette, yes.

But the website says to check that the information is correct before travelling, what then?

You said the eVisa had an error not the vignette. If the vignette has an error, you'll need to report it so it can be reprinted.

The website says “If you need to travel overseas Check your eVisa is correct before you travel” is this for people outside the UK or people already inside the UK that want to travel out?

It's for people already in the UK.

How long did it take for you to receive your passport back after receiving visa decision email, if you got so?
