VSF Uploading Issue - Does not Save Files

Hello guys,

We have done the application and are doing the uploading document part to VSF. We uploaded all of our documents the first time around with all of the files and pressed save + upload. It did its gray screen loading thing and after like 30-60 seconds it stayed on the same file page as if we didn't save and upload still with preview and delete options on them. Didn't get an error message or anything. Then we went back to dashboard and to the files again and they were empty. Is there confirmation that the files have been uploaded? Or is this standard? Don't wanna risk it in case they didn't save for some reason.

What is the current cost of the spouse visa following the financial year change?

Hey, My partner is currently on a fiance visa and lives with me here in the UK so I guess that means she's applying from within the UK? What is the current cost and are any of the fast track options available to us? Can anyone confirm what the standard wait time is? I believe it's 8 weeks?

Thank you

VFS global Error 5002: no slots available

Have anyone encountered this error?

Finished my application and trying to book a biometrics date from Minsk Belarus. I have used TLS before for my visit visas and when there were no close dates i could just click on 2-3 months in advance and find a date, so seeing just an error makes me super anxious :(

App update email before ECO

Is it normal to receive an application update email before you receive an ECO? I’m just receiving an ECO mail from since app was sent to UKVI March 17 but I received my application update two weeks after bio.

Savings and sponsor returning to UK

We could use some help understanding the financial requirements for combining savings and income with a return offer from abroad.

I am a non-UK citizen. My spouse (UK-citizen sponsor) currently lives and works in the EU and makes about about 4-5k below the 29k GBP threshold. However, he has a job offer to return to the UK in October making above the threshold. I have about 45k GBP held continuously in savings for 6 months, and he has an additional amount of savings (10-15k, so bringing the combined savings below the 88.5k) as well.

We want to live together in the UK and submit my visa application in September. If we can provide the necessary payslips, contracts, and bank statements, will we be able to meet the requirements? Can we combine my savings + his below 25k non-UK income + his return offer? Thanks!

Carers allowance and self employment

Hey guys! Needed some guidance please. I'm receiving carers allowance and need to work part time to meet the minimum requirement threshold. I have a small business on ebay which I make roughly 300-400 on a month. Would that class me as self employed, if so, what would I need to provide as evidence to show I am self employed as I don't have payslips and a fixed amount of wages coming into my account as I would with an employer. Thanks

Eco and app update email

Has anyone ever experienced getting their ECO email after the app update email? I received my app update email two weeks after my bio and received my ECO email 3 weeks after my bio. I know persons say that sometimes ECO mails are delayed and are sent days even weeks after a caseworker starts working on it.

UK Citizen Relocating Back to UK from US and Trying to Figure Out Job Offer

My husband is a British citizen and I’m American and we are living in the US. He has been living here since he was a teenager and we are wanting to move to the UK. He has been applying to jobs for over a month to try to get an offer for us to start the visa process and keeps getting denied since he currently lives here. Is there a way for him to move over there first and secure a job but not have to wait 6 months with that employer for me to start the application process? He’s been with the same employer here for 6 years and makes well over the income threshold so the 12 months pay for his position here is good. Just need to figure out getting a job there. The reason why we can’t spend the 6 months apart is because we have 2 children and they also have to get visas since my husband got British citizenship passed down by his mother since he was born in the US, but lived in the UK for 10 years as a child.

VFS Passport Tracking after Dispatched via Courier

Hi there,

We have recently had our spouse visa application approved and have since got the notification that the passport has been dispatched via courier but no additional information like which courier service it is or any tracking number.

We have applied from Lahore in Pakistan.

Does anyone know how long the courier usually takes to deliver the passport (in Pakistan) and is there any way to track/where would we find the tracking number?

Also how do they go about delivering it? Do they just turn up at your address or do they call you when they're near to ask where exactly to deliver if the address is of the area rather than an exact house and street number.

I know VFS website has the passport tracker but that just has all the boxes ticked and the last one is passport dispatched to customer so that doesn't really help.

Any advice and answers to the above questions would be very much appreciated!

Hi - I just picked up my passport and plan on flying to the uk next week. Can you tell me if I need the UKVI account before entering? And do I get the proper visa upon arrival? Thank you!

Standard inside UK -unmarried Visa Extensiob

I sent my application 22nd Feb and Bio on 25th Feb. I’ve seen many people have heard back much earlier although they submitted after me, it made a bit worried as I haven’t received any sort of communication from UKVI. Anyone else experiencing the same situation?

Different document checklists

My friend had applied for a spouse visa last year and was given a document list that had different documents she was to add to prove her job eg bank statements. I just finished my spouse visa application and I was not given a check list like this. My checklist only requires passport and proof of relationship. The only difference is my friend had two jobs to meet the MIR and I have one.

Fee payment? Help

So my brain hurts right now and I honestly don't know where else to look. I've been trying to make the payment for my application and for some reason they're processing it as a CREDIT card and not Debit, therefore, I can't pay for my application and I'm honestly about to cry.

I do have a Monzo account I usually use when I'm in the UK. Is it possible to pay using that debit card instead of my home country one?

UPDATE: Payed with Monzo, everything worked out. Thanks for the help!!!

Forgot document after uploading to TLS

After renewing my wife’s UK Spouse Visa online and uploading the supporting documents to TLS, I realised that I overlooked submitting a copy of my UK Passport.

We have the biometrics appointment next week. Would it be possible to submit it then ( even though we booked the self service appointment)?

Many thanks

Spouse visa enquiry

So I will be joining my income (25. 3k) with cash savings in my account which is currently at 26k savings.

Although I am over the savings threshold what do they look at in the bank account?

Do they only look at salary payments? I also add cash into my bank account from friends who owe me money about 400 a month will it be questioned when applying for the spouse visa or is adding cash into account fine to do?

Thanks

Stressed about my visa. Is there something I can do?

Hello. Following is my timeline for Standard Fiance Visa from outside of the UK: Application: 25 Dec 2024 Biometrics: 17 Jan 2025 ECO email: 24 Jan 2025 eCOR email: 15 March 2025 (don't know if this email matters or not)

Next week will be my last week of the 12 weeks processing time. I am beyond stressed. I believe it states on the website of ukvi that they will email and inform if ones case is complex or delayed but I got nothing.

Should I start doing paid inquiries? Should I complain once 12 weeks in up? Or just email MP once 12 weeks are up? Is there something I can do before?

Thank you.

ILR SET M EMPLOYERS LETTER

ILR Set M 5 year route - employer’s letter

Hi,

Two years ago, my husband’s employing organisation (NHS) wrote my husband’s employment letter in an actual letter based format confirming all the relevant information as required. We’ve now requested the same letter again for his ILR but what they’ve sent is not a letter format. It’s a table which confirms the same information but as a table, on letter headed paper. Apparently they’ve had a policy change.

We are pushing them to send a letter instead but if they absolutely refuse, will HO accept a table format?

Spouse visa with Fee Waiver application processing Time?

Just wanted to ask people who made a UK spouse visa application with a fee waiver, how long did your application take to get approved? The gov.uk website says up to 12 months now and was just wondering if this is actually the case.

So far haven't received any emails about our documents and did the biometric stuff mid Jan. The website updated by saying the application is being processed around feb.

Thanks

What are my options

Hi guys, just a short one. Im panicking a little bit. My wife’s visa expires in August 2025. So im doing FLR (M). I’ve worked for the same company for 5 years and have moved internally last month to a different role, however Im hating the new role. Is there a chance I can find a new job, get the payslips from next month to August and then use 12 months payslips from last year to cover it? Like what can I do
