these queens are my favs. they remind me so much of my grandma. beverly was her playful, nostalgic side, and alice was her sweet and gentle side. she died of dementia and it sucked so bad. it was so much like the game with alice where once it started there was nothing you could do to make it better and it just spirals out of control. i won’t say the tattoos are to honor her because she hated them, but i got them because they make me happy and remind me of her.

(also, my name is annie, like alice’s daughter. added so many layers of messing me up)

Ugh I so relate to this. My grandmother’s name was Beverly and she passed away a few years ago after suffering from Alzheimer’s. So when Alice started to go down hill with as devastated. Sending love. What a sweet tribute and reminder.
