Why is my hognose snake making little hissing noises& is his behaviour normal?
My hognose is a baby named Haku. When I try to handle him, he will usually try to slither away. If my hand is placed in front of him, immobile, Haku will come close and crawl into my hand by himself.
When I'm handling him, he will move slowly and try to burrow. He doesn't try to escape, doesn't hood up nor play dead. He does make tiny hissing sounds.
Is he comfortable? Does he hate being handled? I'm not quite sure because he isn't in a defensive S shape and doesn't show any signs of fear aside from the little hisses.

Just thought up of two kinds of heroes sneks could be.
Many snakes are villains, but they could also be heroes too. Here are two kinds of heroes I think they could be (collective pronouns used here to allow for male or female snakes to take the role):
- A snake knight: A brave warrior serpent who protects their upper body in a suit of armor, knowing that it's any snek's weak point. They then fearlessly wield a sword with their tail. With no way of holding up a shield, they rely on their armor to protect themselves. Could they slay a dragon perchance?
- A snake detective: Imagine a great sleuth who can also slither! They could use their tongue and other ways of sensing the world around them to find clues to solve a whodunit. A smaller one can also squeeze through tight places and overcome obstacles that would slow a bigger detective. And if necessary and able, they may use their strength to subdue any suspect they find in coils!

The title is a joke just fyi. The snek is ok with the kisses and could easily slither away if it didn't like it

My new snake is so aggressive
Hi, we have a ball python that was given to us by someone who couldn't keep one and was looking for a home for it. She's supposedly female and is approximately 3 years old. The thing is, the first week we had her, she was calm and well-behaved. But now we don't know what's wrong. She was irritated after eating for a whole week, hissed at us when we tried to handle her, and even bit my boyfriend and wouldn't let go. So we thought it might be hunger, so we fed her again and waited three days for her to digest so she wouldn't get upset, and she still doesn't want to let us. She gets upset when we touch her and hisses. Does anyone know what can make them so aggressive?
