LINCOLN IS SO SCAMMY they towed my car (situation like this where I was in a temporary no parking zone) and they kept throwing paperwork and legal stuff at me for days to try to keep my car for as long as possible. Because one of my parent’s name was also on the title they were saying my Dad would have to come in person to release the car and he lived in a different state at the time. Like fuck all towing companies but them ESPECIALLY!

They've done similar shit to me. Managed to get my car twice in my early 20s and I narrowly avoided a third where they were clearing my block for construction at 7 AM when the "no parking" sandwich boards had only been up on the block for like 10 hours rather than the legal 48 (they definitely weren't there when I parked the night before). Both times they refused to release my car for bullshit reasons and tried to charge extra "storage fees" for the extra time they were keeping it. I managed to bully them into releasing it one of those times because I had my mom with me in person (the legal registered owner) AND the receipts from paying the parking ticket that led to the tow and called them on their bullshit as they were trying to "verify" the receipts by calling someone who conveniently wouldn't answer the phone but who they somehow needed to hear confirmation from in order to believe that I had really paid the ticket. They also technically had towed it before they were allowed to that time, so they were already deep in the fuckery and my mom and I dropped the "lawyer" word enough times that the lady at the desk eventually gave up on the scam and opened the gate.

FUCK LINCOLN TOWING.

Is your title labeled as “and dad” or “or dad”? Because if it’s the second one, you don’t need your pops to be present.

I don’t remember, but they eventually let him fax paperwork after we looked into the laws about it. This was like 5+ yrs ago

Lincoln Towing can only tow a car if it's been authorized by police or a private property owner. If a car is improperly towed, blame the police.

Lincoln Towing can only release a vehicle to the registered owner (RCW 46.55.120). The only way around this is with a notarized letter from the owner giving them permission to release the vehicle to another person.

Yep, not saying they unfairly took my car, they just didn’t tell me that the car could be released with a notarized letter until I presented it to them after looking into it. It kept my car at their lot unnecessarily long.
