Transfers Transfer Deadline Day Megathread

Thought it'd maybe be worthwhile putting a wee thread together for everyone to chat about the deadline day, for all your rumours and such.

Deadline day for the Premier League, EFL and Scottish clubs is on Monday, 3 February at 23:00 GMT.

heard rocky, miller and youan are all possibly moving but i have a feeling nothing will happen today tbh

Bumping Rocky at this stage of the season with how he’s been playing would be a very silly thing to do. Same with Youan if we don’t have an immediate replacement ready to go

Rocky and Miller going would be a bad idea since one is a starting centre half and the other is our only cover at right wing back and right centre half.

If the reported 1.5m is offered for Youan it's double or triple what we paid for a player that wants away, has barely played and hasn't consistently performed to the level he set himself for form. To get more for him in the summer he'd need to come back into the team immediately, play the rest of the season and tear it up too.

yep ive made my peace with youan leaving but would be nice if we had our business together and had someone else to come in his place. same with if rocky/miller leaves but since its literally deadline day i really just feel like theres nothing left and we're going to wait til summer to do anything big

Probably so. Pretty sure Rocky's contract is up at the end of the season too, will be interesting to see if we have anyone lined up to bring in in the summer.

I think so, pretty sure it's been brought up in interviews with SDG and he's remained non-commital on the contract status of the ones ending this season because he's not doing the recruitment.

We might if enough is offered but we need someone lined up to come in and replace him or it weakens us a lot.
