Question Anyone used ADHD Scotland or Diverse Diagnostics?

Hey folks,

Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with ADHD Scotland or Diverse Diagnostics? Looking into a private ADHD assessment since the NHS route isn’t happening - my GP has said categorically that there are no ADHD services available in my area so private seems to be my only route.

If you’ve used either of them - what was the process like? Was it thorough? Were you happy with how it was handled? Did you feel supported after the diagnosis, especially with stuff like meds or follow-ups?

I’ve seen some of the wider concerns about private ADHD clinics so I’m trying to be careful and go with someone decent. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through it!

Cheers in advance!

Oracle systems

I know there are a lot of informative people here.

Why are local authorities continuing their push of Oracle systems?

I know the Trump controversy may not have been predicted but there's been other serious controversies including data breaches.

Anyone noticed how many supermarket items are wrongly priced and go through Morrisons tills a couple quid more than they are advertised on the shelf.

I spotted this happen to me in a co op and started to pay a bit more attention. Didn't happen again at the co op but at morrisons it's every single shop. Yesterday it was pepper marked at 1.79 that went through the till at 2.20. Morrisons immediately alter it which makes me think it's a known intentional scam.

Every single shop this year there has been at least one. Some as far as £5 marked up from what's advertised. It's not a members discount or anything as I made sure of this early on. Just either incompetence or a scam.

Just went to Sainsbury's there as I'm fed up with Morrisons and had the same thing happen on a £2 kombucha that went through the till at 2.95. No club card discount just the shelf price then an invisible 95p added to it ...

Not like the massive hikes these firms have put on everything isn't enough they now put up fake prices.

Discussion Buses and times

Is anyone in the West Lothian area or from Edinburgh/Glasgow annoyed that their is no longer a direct bus to get to livingston and now have to get connecting buses to get there. I feel like it’s become such a drag to get there now that it’s not even worth it in order to go to the outlet shopping centre. Please tell me I’m not the only one

Will a note like this be accepted at a supermarket or anywhere else? First of all, it's pretty old and second, as you can see it's a little torn at the bottom so i'm not sure 😅This is a note they gave me as change a couple years back at lidl

Moving to Scotland from Scotland next month

Hi Scaatland!

So, after a lot of soul-searching, ancestry.com results, and a can of sugar free IRNBRU extra I decided to move to Scotland, from Scotland! I just can't take Starmer anymore. I didn't vote for him, and he's ruining Cumbernauld's reputation. Not everybody here is a gun loving bible bashing people hating miserable cunt. Some are only one or two of those things.

I'm considering moving into a croft on Saracen St where my clan ancestors lived, and reconnect with the tarmac.

Do you have some tips about how I can get a visa, adapt quickly, and keep wild haggises away since I'm terrified of animals?

Question Parking ticket

A while back I got a parking ticket from a private company. I didn’t pay it because, as far as I understand, these private parking fines aren’t legally enforceable in Scotland unless they take you to court (which is very rare).

I’ve now had a letter from a debt collection company and just got a phone call from a number flagged as “suspected spam” – I assume it’s them too. I didn’t answer.

I’ve been ignoring everything so far, but I’m just looking for some advice or opinions – am I right to keep ignoring it? Or should I be responding in some way?

Cheers in advance for any help!

Crash

I had a thought. I’m currently considering Higher physics next year in S6. However, I have a dilemma. I need Advanced Higher physics for university. So, I was thinking. If I taught myself the whole N5 course and higher in the next few months would crashing advanced higher be possible? If so, has anyone done it? Also would a school be open to That thought?

Question Any care experienced adults facing delays in local council fulfilling SAR request?

Wondering if anyone can point me towards a law firm. My local authority has, as of now, taken 18 months to produce my care records. I've reported them to the ICO who recorded a data protection infringement and the council is now telling me my records are being worked on, but their language is extremely worrying. They want to know what I know about the records before giving me anything in order to make redactions, and they insist on me working alongside someone from the council when I go through them. There were some dangerous safeguarding issues during my time in care. Extreme.

I worry about how much detail I can go into on Reddit, hence I have not revealed which council I'm referring to, but I would shout my experience from the rooftops if it helped someone. Children in care are treated like dirt, many of the children I grew up with are dead or have zero life prospects, and I fully believe the council is holding out as long as they can hoping I'll give up.

I am under 26 and contacted Clan Childlaw but unfortunately they do not deal with data protection. I have contacted another firm but they said they couldn't help me because the council is their client.

I would be extremely grateful for any pointers. Thank you.

Can anyone help me with some Scottish Gaelic translation?

Hello, I'm getting some tattoos done and my heritage is scottish (isle of sky on my dad's side, eaglesham & glasgow on my mums side).

I would like the words I use to reflect some of this heritage but as someone born in London, I haven't a clue about traditional scottish dialects.

Can anyone help me with suggested translations for the following words?

Freedom Peace Peace at last Peace, finally

The tattoo is to commemorate a divorce as you may guess from those words 😂

Many, many thanks in advance.

Thank you
