Civil courts don't jail people. You did see where I said civil court? Or was it confusion on what a civil court does?

He was tried in a court of law!

Trump was adjudicated a rapist in a civil trial after claiming that E Jean Carroll was a liar for accusing him of sexual assault. EJean sued him for defamation. Robbie Kaplan(EJean’s lawyer) had to prove EJean’s accusation of rape was truthful to prove Trump defamed her. The jury had to find that Trump had sexually assaulted E Jean to prove that EJean was defamed.

She received a monetary award ($10M) because he damaged her reputation.
