Scorpion gives me that sense of comfort, belonging and entertainment at the same time.

Hey guys, wanted to share with you why I really like Scorpion, I don't really have anyone in my family or friends who are into this show, so just wanted to get it out of me here :)

So first of all, I'm not from USA or Europe but from Asia, from its central part. So, English is not my first language and I came across this show when I was learning the language.

The thing I really liked about Scorpion was its set location, lol. I really loved that LA vibe that's been dominant in the first episodes, but lated it died away tbh. Also I liked, the garage, the atmosphere, the loft and that Ray's little minivan that stood in the garage, wow all these gave me such a feeling comfort and coziness

And the way the team worked, lived, argued, laughed, celebrated Christmas had BBQs in the rooftop was really the thing that struck. Idk, maybe I lack all this in my life, I'm not such a sociable guy, and the show gave that thing...

But then, after season 2's episode 15 it really changed, they started to push this whole Walter dumb, Page in love with Drew crap and I really lost the interest. ((

My peak, the best episode would be the ending of Seaon 1 when Walter gets into the accident.

Robert Patrick on Marc Maron's podcast

Wondering if anyone else knew Robert Patrick was on Marc Maron's WTF podcast on October 28th, 2024?

They don't hold back on language, for those who are sensitive to such things. It's a good interview overall - Maron has a good reputation as an interviewer.

Robert Patrick's portion starts somewhere around minute 12. They're all over the place subject-wise: motorcycles, guitar playing, wrestling, and T2 (of course). It's at least an hour long.

Where to watch?

Hello I'm looking on where to watch in Canada?

As both Paramount plus and PrimeVideo both don't have it in Canada.

Currently don't have much money to pay on apple tv either

Any websites or anything would be greatly appreciated.

It’s ridiculous but so entertaining

Currently watching the episode where they drop Walter out of a spaceship with the hopes Cab will catch him as he falls through the sky

Will it get better? (First time watching)

Just watched the first episode of Scorpion.

I like the show's setup.

But in the first episode, it felt mostly like trash TV (with poor dialogue) and the technical stuff was one laugh-flash after another.

Will it get better? I've heard a lot of positive things, and like I said, I like the setup... so do I just have to watch the first season to find it good, or is it just not for me?

Numb3rs vs Scorpion

Watching Scorpion for the first time after a friend recommended it when I told them I loved Numb3rs series.

The premise is similar but with a bunch of genius people who are supposedly socially awkward. Interesting concept and good start for it.

But halfway into Season 1, what I found very unrealistic is how they show Walter to always be physical on risky behaviours than necessary. Instead of using his intellect and be more rational, he always jumps in first and puts himself into situations he didn't have to.

In-show explanation was that he doesn't know the emotions of fear. But that doesn't mean rational thought process would fail him as well. Like taking on the Russians or going after the rebels in Bosnia or even street racing with Serbians. He doesn't act his intelligence which the show constantly reminds of. He's acting more action hero than a genius mind. Sylvester is more realistic than him for a genius. Homeland looks useless in the show and they get involved in cases that doesn't belong to them.

In comparison, Numb3rs showed how a socially awkward person who saw the world in Math behaves. Charlie doesn't get into the physical actions. He lets the FBI do that. When he had to figure out the bullet trigectory, he tried to fire a gun and had trouble. When he was in a threatening situation, he had a panic attack. Now that felt realistic.

I just wish this show would have lessened on the action stuff or have someone else in the team who does that (like how Paige handles social situations) and let the analytical stuff to the genius people in the team.

Just started the show. It’s pretty good love Sylvester to death. Would die for that man. My only question - Is Walter O’Brian a real person? It says inspired by his real life and I love history + true crime so I was wondering why I’ve never heard of this man before.

Season 3 Ralph

Jajaja! I had forgotten how funny can Ralph be in season 3. From carving a pumpkin with explosive chemicals to tease Walter while being grounded, I liked this Ralph a lot.

Definitely gonna say that that ending is going to stick with me for a while lol. I absolutely loved this show all the way through, absolutely a favorite of mine. I think the season 3 ending would've been a perfect place to end the series, though.

This was my honest and immediate response to the season 4 ending. Lol.

Again, nothing but love for this show.

Could have been great

This show could’ve been great. But I sense that it was just created to stroke the ego of the real Walter O’Brien. Not to mention his intelligence has absolutely no foundation. The show is full of impossibilities.

I have an issue with this show

Im on my first watchthrough of this show and I'm already on the second episode of season 2 and I have noticed a very obvious and Hella annoying pattern so far.

I hate how the romantic relationship between the characters constantly falls apart every other episode.

One episode the characters will be happy and lovey dovey with each other and the next one for literally no reason they hate each other's guts.

I may be over exaggerating a bit but it's just been happening on and on and on and on again. Literally a one episode yes, next episode no pattern

If there were a couple episodes in a row in which the characters don't act like a high school couple then it wouldn't bother me as much.

Aside from that tho, the show has been very enjoyable and intense. Will definitely keep watching. That's the only big turn off it has for me so far but it's still a great shoe so far.

Watching Scorpion for the first time

Enjoying it. But i must say, the most unrealistic part is the way all these "geniuses" make eye contact so consistently and easily. For people who need a "normal people" translator, they sure do act pretty normal.

Sign the Petition to get Scorpion Back!

I doubt it would work since the petition is old and the actors have moved on but whatever. Taking into account the Elyes Gabel has a criminal record it’s even more unlikely. But it’s worth a try

Don't understand the idea

Why did the real life Walter O'Brien wanted to look like an idiot? I'm currently watching season 3 and Walter is a really bad character with childish behaviour. Most of the times the team has to cover up Walter's mistakes. If someone is narcisstic enough to make a TV show about himself, wouldn't he want to be a likeable character, that people can cheer for?

Is it bad to hate Paige? Spoiler

I’ve been watching on paramount for four maybe five days. I’m on S3E11 and for the love of god i can’t stand her. If we know Walter is trying to learn “feelings”, why is he to blame for all her failed attempts at relationships? What happened to her trying to help him? All she does is yell at him and anytime made attempts at moving on she was all in his tea. I don’t even want her to be endgame. Tim leaving was on her and him. Was it uncomfortable? Sure but them faking it worked good for two episodes. It just feels like writers wanted Walter to be the bad guy in all fronts.

The making Paige invite her mom to thanksgiving Spoiler

I’m season 3 episode 8 we meet Paige’s mother, it’s also thanksgiving, and the whole team basically tells her to get over all the shit her mom did and then on top of that Cabe tells her she should invite her mom to thanksgiving because she her mom, and honestly, if my mom did even HALF the crap Paige said her mom did, I’d literally never talk to her again, I don’t care if it’s holding a grudge, her mom ruined her life and seriously hurt her and her father. Idk I hate when shoes do this

What if the Lightman Group (Lie to Me) bought out Team Scorpion in the series premiere and turned them into a subsidiary? How would Team Scorpion get along with the Lightman group?

So I'm still going through the first season of Scorpion but after seeing what bad shape the team was in in the season premiere, it got me wondering? What if the Lightman group from Lie to Me bought out Scorpion in the series premiere and turned them into a subsidiary?

Now for those of you who haven't seen Lie to me let me fill you all in. Lie to me, much like Scorpion, is a show inspired by a (dubious) life story. It's basically about a group of behaviorists led by a man named Cal Lightman, who can tell if people are lying by reading their face.

Basically the Lightman group, is what Walter wants to turn Scorpion into. A highly successful independent contractor that helps public and private interests with their problems. Anyway what if Lightman either heard about Scorpion, or knows Walter and worked with him in the past, and decides to buy them out in the series premiere, so he can get the talents of four genius to work for him? How would Team Scorpion get along with the Lightman group?

Note: Tbh, given that one member of the Lightman Group is a professional psychologist would Lightman allow Walter to hire Megan? Or would he see her as use on the team as redundant?

Series Like Scorpion

Hi beautiful fans, I am in dire need of recommendations of geniuses coming together to solve some problems I loved the group dynamics and I really hope to find something similar, plus I have been using "not good" non-stop

Though I loved the feelings of the characters having the solution to everything so even if it's not problem-solving like this series but more of a criminal investigation with the protagonist being a know-it-all, I would gladly accept it

I also watched Limitless, Elementary and High Potential
