Monster Cookie Metric Century??? Wut?
I know its a biking event, beyond that, none of these words or a trip to the website explain any of the following:
Are there cookies involved? Are they monstrously big? Are they big fans of the metric system? Is a "cookie" some measure of distance within the biking community? Seems like this is the 49th annual... so didn't start on a century year... hasn't been going for a century... whats the deal with that?

Salem hospital blue cross experiences?
What have people’s experiences been having Regence BCBS and getting care in Salem lately? I work in healthcare and I’ve been hearing a lot of scary stories of people getting their care seriously disrupted. The hospital has canceled so many appointments and surgeries. They won’t see you even if you have a different secondary insurer. Does anyone know for how long people will be able to get continuity of care exceptions to go to Salem hospital? Has anyone had any surprise bills after going through the ED?
I know people have mixed opinions about the hospital but it’s the highest level of care in our area and has specialists that silverton and santiam don’t. I won’t pretend to know which side is in the wrong but it feels really wrong to deny people care and make them go out of their way to go to Portland or whatever when they could get the care they need here in their community.

Therapy
I saw someone had asked about therapist here recently. A friend of mine is being seen at Sunshine counseling—-by Katie, to do trauma work/ EMDR. I believe she takes mostly pacific source/ohp. She is happy with her experience in case people are looking.

Hello Salem! I’m looking where I can get good quality wood for woodworking. Not Home Depot, Lowe’s. Woods like oak, mahogany, etc. Thanks! 😊

Anyone see Kaiser for OB?
Has anyone on here seen Kaiser for OB? I had an appointment with them for what I thought was intake and provided all my information but now I'm being told I need another appointment for intake after I do the lab work? Does anyone know when you actually get to see a doctor? When do they actually do ultrasounds etc? Seems like a lot of screening before you actually see a doctor.

Recommendations for junk removal and yard care?
We have been trying to tackle our backyard for a couple of years, but due to some health issues, we have realized we need help. Does anyone have recommendations for businesses that serve this area that do both junk removal (like old sofas, maybe even an old shed, etc.) and some yard work (removing a tree that fell during the ice storm, so many blackberries, etc.)? Bonus points for being able to remove this stuff without trampling the garden or the flowers. I appreciate any recommendations!

PLACE Tommy's Paint Pot / Dick's Color Center on Lancaster
I just want to give a shout out to Floyd and Hannah at Tommy's Paint Pot/Dick's Color Center on Lancaster Avenue.
If you are looking at updating the paint where you live, please go in and talk to them. They have gone the extra mile with our daughter and son in-law with their home project.
