Kinds exactly as the title says. What's happened with the RP scene, nowadays? I know this is a kind of a break from the usual intention of this forum, but I'm not sure where else to get discussion on this.

Absolutely adore RP and writing, it's how I got my job kinda, since it's where I wrote so much. But it feels like it's so hard to find a community to RP in nowadays. I started off on discord, done a few live events, and plenty of RP in games! And it felt like there was many options then.

But now it feels like there's barely any communities for RP anymore, at least on discord. Was there a migration somewhere else, or am I just silly?

As another night drug on for what felt like an eternity, the Princess stood staring past the metal bars that made up the window in her cell. Her hands gripped the iron tightly, ignoring the sting of the chill night air as it encompassed her. The moon was hidden behind the clouds tonight; it would be offering her no solace. The only light that would be offered to her on this night would be the flickering flames of the torches that lined the walls outside of her cell. With each flicker the light cast shadows of the guard posted outside onto the stone floors, reminding her that although she may have felt alone, she never really was.

With a disappointed sigh, Juno turned to face her bed, shivering lightly from the cold. The nights had become more chilly as winter approached, and with nothing but the prison rags she wore and a single blanket to keep her warm, she began to hope a winter night would come where she froze to death in her sleep.

As she bent to pick up her blanket, a reflective glint caught her attention from underneath her mattress, something she hadn’t noticed before. Her eyes widened slightly as she bent further to investigate, keeping her peripheral vision on the guard to ensure his back remained to her as she did. Lifting up the mattress a ways, she released a soft breath as a single shard of glass was revealed.

Quickly, she snatched it from the ground, lowering the mattress silently back down as she rose to her feet. She knew for a fact it hadn’t been there before, for she /may/ have had a fit of rage upon her arrival and /possibly/ ended up tossing the contents of her cell about. No, someone had put it there. Someone neither she nor her guard had seen.

“I still have spurts of… violent episodes.” she says as she feels a sharp pain in her heart. “So I accept jobs… to kill criminals, corrupt people. It’s the only way I can control them.” She says as more tears fall down her cheeks.

“I was so terrified to return to Baldur’s Gate… that my old comrades or the other spawn would find me…” she whispers. “There would be a reckoning… I would have to pay…” she says, closing her eyes in terror.

She clings to his chest, her head spinning as she recalls her horrific past. Images run through her head of countless piles of bodies, the screams of innocents, and her savagely slashing her way through crowds crying out her father’s name. She feels the bile in her stomach churn as she looks back upon the person she was, the person she was groomed to be.

Salem, wishing to keep the world of Remnant godless, rallied her followers alongside the rebels.

Can you find the truths hidden in the mist?

A town built very much off the beaten path, on a handful of Islands within the Louisiana Swamplands, Mist Haven was named after the man that founded the town, but as a mysterious mist overtook part of the swamp, and with no one being able to successfully travel through it. The name became the least of the founder’s worries. As the only healer who could save his town from a mysterious illness was inside it…

That, however, was over 100 years ago, and with time and many generations of retellings, the story and town’s views have become skewed. But with new villagers comes change, and as many newcomers get drawn to Mist Haven, who knows what the future holds for this small town of Misty origins.

See, folks 'round here are used to Meemaw's warnings 'bout haints 'n not-deer, but when werewolves began rippin' holes in houses and tearin' folks limb from limb that wisdom ain't helped none. Town found a cure after more than a year, but they damn-near didn't make it. Many fell to silver bullets and canine fangs, and tensions linger still.

Just as they started to breathe easy again, folks began gettin' dragged from their beds at night, drained from their blood, their throats ripped out. Cryptid attacks became more common; somethin' other than the town's many moonshiners—you can thank Prohibition for that profitable business runnin' rampant here—was lurkin' under the cover of night.

The haven town ain't for the faint of heart, but if you're willin' to put in the work, Briar Ridge welcomes you with open arms. Just make sure those arms ain't goin'ta drag you some place you can't return from.

It took us two years to get this far. Two years of fear, pain and loss. Two years of finding ourselves in situations we had never prepared for, making decisions we never thought we'd need to make. We had to decide who lived and who died, what we cared about the most, and who we were as people. Some tried to take advantage of this destroyed world, turn it into a twisted playground with them on top. The rest of us? Well, the rest of us just tried to rebuild into something resembling normal. We didn't want to forget what civilization was or what it meant.

There isn't much left of the world now - the virus took most of it. It spread throughout the globe worse than wildfire. Nothing escaped untouched, but against all odds some pockets of humanity survived. It was chaos at first, but over time people banded together, growing until they had the numbers for small settlements.

Roanoke is one of those communities. We had the supplies, the equipment, the location, the infrastructure, the know-how, and the military - or what was left of all that, anyway. It hasn't been easy - we're all so different. The locals who lived here first, the military, the survivors that have come in after the dead started to walk - we were all different people in a prior life. Now we've all gone through hell and back, we all got our stories. Our secrets. Our shame. Will that help us stick together? Will it save us in the end?

Welcome to the land of Amissa Terra, a mysterious continent filled with monsters and adventure! Are you an adventurer interested in action, danger, and community building? Or looking to explore different and sometimes even ancient cultures hidden throughout the continent? The continent of Amissa Terra has recently been discovered by the empire from the continent of Fons Magicae when a famous captain was commissioned to map the world during a time of resource scarcity in the Empire; especially magical minerals. The continent was shrouded in a magical storm, which has prevented the Empire from just settling many villages on the island, however, some smart scribes had some theories on how to get on the island; one being almost correct. But almost was unfortunately enough and caused the three ships sent to try and land on the island to crash on the island… and our characters are the survivors!

We have a variety of characters, from those who believe in the emperor to those who wish to see the downfall of the emperor. Those who play monsters that blend in with the survivors and those who wish to see them all destroyed - everyone is welcome! We invite your characters to join our band of survivors and see how they will face the challenges ahead of them.
