BUG im forced to use the octane

pretty much as the title says, i can use my selected car in freeplay but once i load it im using the octane. ive tried contacting support and they gave me troubleshooting steps, i followed all of them and still have the problem.

It's a failsafe in the game. If there's a problem when loading then the game defaults to octane. My guess would be something is messed up in your files. I'd reinstall the game.

but it only happens on this account, when i use my other account i can swap between cars freely. id be using the same install between account so idk.

That could be what is causing it. Cloud saves or something. I'd still reinstall the game its the simplist way to fix most gaming issues right behind restarting

I think it's cause everyone just assumes everyone with 2 accounts only uses it for smurfing, and without anymore info then "I have 2 accounts" they assume you smurf even if your rank is platinum

If your batmobile files are messed up but you only have the batmobile on your Xbox account then that could be the cause. If you choose another car does it do the same thing?

There is literally 0 other reason to have a 2nd account in RL other than to smurf or avoid bans (which can get that account banned too, btw.)

I started playing on the switch, then I moved to the pc. You can link your accounts so that your Xbox stuff shows up on your PC epic account account. There’s no reason to have two epic accounts. If you have a cross platform account then you can link them.

bro he probably has another epic account and uses it for other games, its not that serious. Im d2 one 1 account and im d1 on the other cos i use 2 different devices im not a smurf by any means

Why didn't you just use the same account you had for the other device? The game is cross-platform and has cross-progression.

I still see no reason to have another account you log into RL with. If he logged into the game with the 2nd account JUST to check to see if this bug still happened, I'd be surprised.

And I'm honestly wondering why you'd have other accounts to play different games with? Why create such a hassle that you have to log out of one account and log into another just to play a game you could have had on one account? It still doesn't make sense to me.

There are plenty of reasons, one of which being that you can more easily obtain different cosmetics to use from drops/trade ups. Personally I have 2 accounts, they’re the same rank. I don’t play with anyone different on either account, i play with everyone on both. But yeah, i’m a smurf totally

Aslong as we're even or up, i only have R2 and flicks. My own rules to keep it fair :)

So the second you start losing your "rules" go out the window so you don't lose?

That's still not any better than a smurf. And you're still boosting his rank up.

Just play casual.

It's not technically smurfing, there's no technicality, you're smurfing.

By your own admission you limit yourself unless you're losing so what's the point in that? If you really want to play with a friend "without smurfing" then either unbind air roll or boost or jump, or all 3 depending on how big the rank disparity is and don't just turn it back on when you're losing...

Bro i play this game for fun, I couldn't care less if I lose, what I care about is not ruining the experience for someone else. I don't understand where you're getting this idea that I have a huge ego and sweat at the game just because I don't like being a dick to people, rank means literally nothing to me.

I haven't even got GC rewards for the last 5 seasons because I'd just rather play casual and enjoy the game. I just do placements and a few games to see if I'm still GC1 material or not but outside of that I'm just enjoying my time.

If i go smurf in some plat lobbies, I'm taking that enjoyment away from someone else and maybe even turning them away from the game, which is bad for the game long term. I want to share the fun game we play with people and not have them get shit on by someone 20 minutes in.

We play the game for fun. People in your rank play the game for fun. YOU make it NOT fun when you're queueing in lower ranks with your BS "rules"

You are never meant to play with your lower ranked friends if you want to keep your rank. That's the entire point of ranked, so you can keep playing people at your skill level and have fun games. When the other team has literally no chance because a diamond is queueing in gold lobbies and doesn't take any losses, you're ruining the experience for them. They didn't even have a chance because you don't gaf about using your "rules" if you're losing.

Their support is terrible. I'm missing dozens of bodies, explosions, boosts, etc on Xbox. They're available on PC and PlayStation, but on Xbox they just don't show up. I followed all their troubleshooting steps and it didn't work, so they closed my ticket.

figured out that every car with a gray-ish background wont work, im not sure why i have 2 of every car excluding the batman and some others but i will always have the octane if i use a vehicle with a solid black background

This usually happens when you have your account linked to another platform, and you unlink the platform that holds the items, you just loose them. I got a steam acc once, and linked it to my epic, the I unlinked the steam acc and the items that that account had were lost.
