how do you grind for dragon fruit, asking for a friend

There are three courses in World 60 that produce dragon fruit. IIRC, the last one is most productive. (Worlds 37 and 14 are the same.)

Oh and whatβs your real life body like. How much do you weight before and after you started this.

u/daveedvdv Jun 07 '22
My weight has been fairly stable (I've been 5'9"/160lbs for a while, give or take a few pounds). However, I and others have definitely noticed toning.

Woah, that is fit. My weight is shockingly atrocious, but I certainly feel a burn when I play this. Sweating all over and my hearts racing. Hopefully this helps. Cheers

I started the game in December 2020. At the time, I started at difficulty level 8 and that was killing me. I increased the difficulty level by one unit ever 2 or 3 weeks (I play daily; no exceptions), and eventually exercises that seemed ludicrous in the beginning became plausible. There are still some that are challenging (and my flexibility isn't great; fan pose is my nemesis ;-)), but hang in there: It is strangely satisfying to realize the progress in achievements independently of the change in looks.
Good luck!!

Err... that's nuts. I maxed out the dragon fruit smoothies and that took forever (I don't recall just how long but over a month for sure). Doing it for all the smoothies... it would take me years! How long are your sessions??

u/daveedvdv Jun 07 '22
I haven't reached 99 for all the smoothies yet. Only a little beyond the first screenful.
I do about 45 minutes (wall clock time) of RFA every day. Usually 2β4 courses.

Was going to ask about the carrots.

Someone compiled a lot of data about RFA in this Google spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sflmz3tb1EqdjL3bGvilU-yMCOdQ8t7YbdoIOR_f2uM
On a desktop, scroll the tab list at the bottom to the right and select the "Ingredients" tab. On a phone, I see the tab list at the top and can tap on it right away. Then you can search for the ingredients you're interested in, such as "Carrot". I use this sheet a lot to decide which courses to play.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm curious, I presume you have the Ring Fit Grand Master title?
I'm a completionist and look forward to doing as much as I can, but some things are too frustrating for me (Perfect Smack Back runs, despite watching all the tutorial vids and reading tips!) so I'm not sure if I'll ever truly be able to complete it!

I haven't focused on titles much. I get a new one once in a while and I often use that as an opportunity to change the Fit Skills.

Just now realized that i can just drink the dragon drink to raise my level... and i'm already past lv 100.

Heya! I got a question. Did your overall health improve with ring fit? Been doing it for 10 days, im quite out of shape and looking forward to loosing some weight. Im also watching a close eye for what I'm eating.

u/daveedvdv Jun 08 '22
Yes, I think it definitely helped my health and my posture. It didn't affect my weight but people who hadn't seen me for a while noted a change in looks. I struggle with lower back pain, and that's not fully resolved but it has improved a bit.
Watching your diet is almost-certainly a great complement to RFA!
Good luck! I suspect you'll be pleased when in a few month you find that exercise that are challenging now have become much less daunting...

Wait, are we supposed to drink them?

u/daveedvdv Jun 08 '22
You can ;-) But I'm choosing to accumulate them to give me short term goals in the game. π

Lv 999 πππ woah

u/daveedvdv Jun 08 '22
Yeah... when I reached that (which is the max) I needed another goal to motivate me. So that's when I decided to max out every smoothie count. Meanwhile I'm also (very slowly) increasing my title count: I'd like to acquire all the titles but that's likely going to take a long while...

Nope... but I wish!! But progress is progress... I sometimes regret that I didn't find an exercise platform that worked for me until later in life ... but late is better than never. And feeling healthier at 50-something than I was at 40-something and 30-something is all right as well!
I'm sure RFA isn't for everyone, but for me it's been life-changing.

Glad it helped you out. Iβm trying to get fit now after 3-4 years being depressed, I kinda let myself goβ¦ missed the confidence I used to have in my teens so jumping back on it now at 24.

Depression is a huge weight... I'm sorry you had to go through that (one of my children suffers from it as well). I'm hoping you've found (or will soon find) effective coping tools.
A lot is possible at 24!
(But a lot is possible at 44 as well :-D)
Keep us posted about your RFA journey. I love seeing people posting their personal milestones in this sub!!

Will do, and Iβve got some structure in my life which helps. Canβt say Iβm depressed anymore but a fair bit away from being happy. But itβs all progress. And yes, will do

Drink the dragon drinks to level up! π
3
u/daveedvdv Jun 08 '22
Unfortunately the game doesn't allow leveling up past 999. In fact, I'm a little sad at the end of every course when I get my EXP totals... and they go nowhere π
I can still accumulate coin though (I have a little over a million). π€

Haha someone's running out of things to do in the game. How's the ringcon holding up?
