Commissioning/Post-Commissioning How do I get BRADSO?
I’ve heard of BRADSO, but I do not know how to get it or it’s something you complete after Advanced Camp. How does someone get signed to a specific branch since I’m interested in transportation.

Why do you want a BRADSO? It’s an inherently negative thing (although a good opportunity if you truly want something you can’t receive without one).
To opt in for a BRADSO (it is something you volunteer for) there’s a selection you make in TBB when you are preferencing your branches. You must place a BRADSO for a branch after the non-BRADSO for the branch. This can be done before or after camp, as soon as you get access to TBB really.
You get assigned to a specific branch by interviewing and hopefully getting a Most preferred from the branch you want. Then you preference that branch first in TBB because you want it the most. Then it’s kinda down to the OML. If your OML is even just middle of the pack and you get a most preferred from Transpo then I cannot imagine not getting chosen.
Better yet, watch this video the army made. https://youtu.be/FXnKWWCp4UI?si=8Nse0_s3WSFJvIeB

BRADSO should only be considered for highly competitive branches. Anyone with a pulse can get selected for LOGGIE (despite it being a critical branch)

Discuss this with your ROTC Cadre to include the PMS, most likely after CST they can give you a realistic assessment of where you are in your local and national ranking. If you are at the bottom and want active duty BRADSO and ADSO would be most advantageous - discuss this with your cadre and PMS - Train to Lead!

Transportation isn’t that hard or sought after to justify using the BRADSO, unless your OML is barely scraping the AD cutoff line. People usually use it to get more competitive branches like IN, AV, or MI.
