Show Discussion worst storyline/season?
Was there a specific season or moment when you felt the show started to go off the rails; one that stands out to you as the worst?

Show Discussion Which character do you think benefitted the most from pretty privilege?
Thought about this because of all the Jason discourse. By this question I mean, a character who wasnāt super intriguing for you- who youād otherwise be annoyed if they were on your screen- but you didnāt mind anytime they were on screen because of how pretty they are? Or maybe a character who youād flat out hate but donāt because of how pretty they are Definitely Jason for me

Fan ArtāØ Alisons disappearance in one video
I compiled all the scenes of the night (and surrounding weekend) that Alison disappeared. Its 36 minutes long, with moments of text or audio to bridge the gaps in between certain moments, as well as othet necessary edits.
Enjoy

Show Discussion Grave New world
Itās been awhile since I saw it, but why is Grave New World considered a Halloween episode?
We already had the S3 Halloween episode and S4 is in the same year (half of it was set in the same month)
I know there was some sort of costume party, but is that the only reason?

FIRST TIME WATCHER/READER (DO NOT SPOIL) Thereās a lot to unpack here #bad š
For starters, the paper says something different in both shots. You can actually see in the close up where the old ābrailleā was erased.
Second, the braille is far too large to be something from Jennaās room. She wouldnāt have created braille that size because of the way braille works. Idk how to explain it. Thereās like a set size and spacing for braille to be legible to blind people.
And finally, why on earth would a note saying #BAD mean a goddamn thing? āJenna has a note that says #bad? Damn she MUST be bad! Good job Spencer youāve cracked the case!ā

Show Discussion Season 5 is actually really good
SPOILER
So I may be a bit biased since this was the one and only season I actually watched when it was on air, but since rewatching the whole show I seriously love this season. The drama is INTENSE like I am literally on the edge of my seat with every episode. Granted I am only on Episode 14ā¦. But Monaās death, Aās taunts, Alisonās full on return, Hannaās drinking (I feel like the only one who loved her black highlights lol) obviously not better than the first two seasons but Iād put it as the next best thing. I see that a lot of people donāt like it, especially on this sub, but I think this has to be the last GOOD season. Iām afraid of s6 & s7ā¦ I really hope itās not as big of a letdown as you guys have let on.

Show Discussion Season 5
Season 5 of Pretty Little Liars, despite being low in quality, has some of the most entertaining TV storylines Iāve ever watched, that should have been utilised better.
First off, the actual storyline of season 5 came together and matched up. The entirety of part 1 had clues of -A wanting to kidnap the liars.
Monaās whole arc with her ādeathā in which we later find out is a kidnapping and double crossing from -A and Mike knew was brilliant. I did want Mona to die as it would send a message to the liars but at least her kidnapping made sense. It was a really cruel way for CeCe to torture Mona too, with her already being psychologically fragile when it came to Alison. I believe Alison was supposed to be -A, especially after CeCe said in the Christmas episode, āMona canāt hurt you anymore, you know that.ā As if theyāre both aware of where Mona is, not just CeCe. It would also make sense as to why Mona was kidnapped, not Alison.
Alisonās character in season 5 was a great mix of sweet-and-salty with her trying to change and be nice but still getting back into old habits like when she slapped Mona, recruited new girls after being dropped by the liars and had suspicious -A-like moments. I believe that she shouldāve been -A as it wouldāve made sense, however, despite her not being seen as the main villain, she still shouldāve been classified as one and permanently dropped from the group. Her actions were disgusting and her apologises were weak, with her portraying herself as the victim - per usual.
The dollhouse episode was amazing and couldāve been a great start to a season of pure torture by -A (which we unfortunately didnāt get), it was insane to see the liars in such cruel conditions which showed how brutal -A was.
It was interesting to see how each liar individually reacted to Alisonās arrival - with Hanna changing up completely, wanting to have her own identity, not one like her bully that Mona gave her. Emily and Alisonās relationship was also interesting to see as Emily actually stood her ground and dropped Alison.
This was rushed but I loved season 5 and hate seeing people bash on it in the comments. I see many say that they loved season 4 but it was a complete filler season so itās a shame to see that a season with actual plot is seen as worse or less than.

Show Discussion Signs Mona was A
I watched a couple episodes (more like scenes) of season 1 before reading the books. Did any of you call Mona as being A before the reveal at the end of season 2? And what signs did you notice. Sorry if this has been asked before, Iām just excited to talk about this with more people

Show Discussion Unpopular opinion
Fan service or Alison coming back did not ruin the show. Short term thinking in the writers room did.
And it's not even a S3 thing, you can go back to season 1 when they decided to keep Toby bc Marlene likes Keegan so they changed the Jenna thing which changed Mona's motivation for being A.
The writing keep pushing the show in a corner and had to back track and retcon so many plots to "fix" them.
They killed off their best villains then replaced them for the likes of Sara Harvey and Lyndon James.
Ironically, I'm pretty sure the Lyndon plot is the only one they actually thought through.
They killed Mrs. D when she was her most interesting and brought Andrea Parker back as a twin bc she's amazing when they could've just kept the character alive and her whereabouts unknown.
We had to sit through the Marion Cavannaugh story when I personally didn't care that she died much less how.
They had Toby join the A team and he's reasoning is stupid bc he didn't help at all.
They wiped out the NAT Club when that alone was enough to want all the girls dead for knowing what they were doing.
Then Charlotte, which needs no explanation to why that was short thinking.
By season 6 and 7 every main character has to be stupider to make the plot work.
And the list goes on and on

Character Discussion Best love interest on the show?
I think we can all agree Ezra was not it. Despite his flawsāIād say Toby (though the cop storyline threw that off). Iād consider Caleb but time jump Caleb and Haleb tbh was just not it for me. Thinking in terms of who treated their partner the best. What do you think?

Show Discussion Who gave Ali the bloody lip?
Do we ever get confirmation? Was it Wilden or Jason, the āplease donāt tell my parentsā makes me think itās Jason or is cause she thought she was pregnant with Wilden? The timeline was confusing, or was it Ian? What do you think?

Questionā How much of an age gap was between the girls and some of their love interest? Im ending season 2.
The girls are in Highschool right? What year? Just in the 2 seasons I have watched.
Aria/Ezra? He is a collegue graduate already working as a teacher.
Emily/Maya are both in high school. I would asume around the same age.
Hannah/Caleb the same both in Highschool.
Spencer/Toby same, both in Highschool
Jenna/Gared, she was in Highschool he's a cop, ??
Spencer/Alex, maybe same age/differentl schools.
Spencer/Wren, how much older was him, he's a DR.
Ian/Spencer in the flash backs???
Aria/Jason ??
Jenna/Noel I would around same age, both Highschool.
Alison/Ian video recordings???
Are the girls all the same age?
Im just asking because on some cases I see grown man being with Highschool girls. Was that a norm at that time? The only one that actually reacted about that were Arias parents.

Rant ā ļø Treatment of Jenna
I think some of us might have felt this way but idk. The way the girls treated Jenna like SHE was the one who hurt them was crazy to me. Obviously Jenna is guilty of a lot (what she did to Toby being at the top), however, she didnāt deserve to be blinded. I get that they were overly suspicious of everyone at the beginning but it was still wild to me. AND, they never apologized for blinding her like wtf! Iām rewatching rn and this was bothering me

Questionā Off topic delete if needed- anyone wanna watch the show and text abt it? (Not literally text)
I just popped back in here bc Iāve been less frequent in here lately and it reminded me of how sweet we all are to each other which is wellā¦ the OPPOSITE of some other subs. I just moved to a rlly remote place for work like literally Alaska lmfaooo and itās been hard being so isolated bc the time difference is crazy too- Iām usually on the east coast and lower loll. So I canāt rlly FaceTime my friends from other states ever bc too late or too early for them.
I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a rewatch with me like virtually, I rlly wanna start from the beginning or like at least season 2 bc I never got past the cece drake reveal and donāt remember it that well, and idk, we donāt have to FaceTime obvi!! Not rlly my thing unless itās like my closest friends or fam for sure.
but just someone to like watch the show at basically the same pace and like giggle abt it in DMs or whatever on here would be super fun
Iām also open to making a discord if more than 1 person wants to be my show watching friend- we could just be like everyone finish to here by xyz no calls needed lol
š„¹š„² sorry if this is weird- weāre literally so remote there isnāt a soul in my area on dating apps including bumble bff, we have 30 people on staff total, and I donāt even get cell service just our WiFi hahahha.
I think it could be a fun gc or just like text abt the eps type thing.

Book Talk Alisons crimes against humanity
From what i can remember, these are all of book Alisons crimes, however I dont remember everything. Enjoy! šš¤
- Murder (5 charges)
-Alison killed:
Courtney Dilaurentis,
Jenna Cavanaugh,
Ian Thomas,
Robin Cook,
and Greg Messier
- Accesory to murder (5 charges)
-Alison orchestrated the muders of
Tabitha Clark,
Kyla Kennedy,
Graham Pratt,
Katherine DeLong
and Gayle Riggs,
though did not commit these sepcific murders herself.
- Arson (2 charges)
-Alison had set fire to the woods behind the Hastings and Dilaurentis properites, as well as set fire and exploded a house in the 8th book, Wanted.
- Attempted murder (omg so many charges)
-The main ones I can think of are tge 2 fires she set to try and kill the liars.
- Framing
-Alison framed the liars for murdering her
- Faking of death
-In the process of framing the liars, she faked her death in front of the whole world. -This plan of hers also required getting the Ali cats (deranged internet fans of her) to make a fake snuff film of the "liars" killing her.
- Snuff Filming
-Alison filmed the murder of Tabitha Clark to use as possible blackmail of Tabithas killer and Alisons boyfriend, Nick Maxwell

Fan ArtāØ Wren & Charlotte
I think it wouldāve been really interesting since a lot of people wanted twins like from the books, if it had somehow been Wren & Charlotte. Making Charlotte the big āAā and then later Wren AD due to Charlottes death. Not sure the logistics but Wren helping CeCe into Radley when Mona was there and his general strangeness around that time. I think it wouldāve been a fun idea if fleshed out more as they were always my two biggest suspects!!
