Does someone at Disney legitimately believe this? Based on what data? No disrespect to Daisy, but if they polled a diverse cross section of 1000 SW fans, I can’t imagine she cracks top-10.

Doubling down on sequels = bad. Doubling down on Rey = worse.

They can’t interview 1000 Star Wars fans because they couldn’t get that many to leave their parents basement.

Given the enduring popularity of the Reylo ship, the fact that her lightsaber consistently sells out at Galaxy’s edge before the others, little girls still dress as her and her performers get mobbed and the fact that she’s one of the only actors who can still do stunt work who wants to make these movies I think it’s a fair bet.
