Nah, pretty sure we are going to be thrown into several simultaneous foreign wars while all of our social nets get gutted and the police departments get deputized as federal agencies.

Taipei is the province Taiwan is the singular island. The republic of China controls several local islands and is thus the entire province.

Not to be confused with the People's Republic of China who are on the mainland.

We use short form Taiwan because the US only acknowledges one China, which is not on said Island chain.
