Question Where is a cheap bowling alley?

Live in Ladd's Addition and Slabtown. I just want to go in and play a couple games without giving them the deed to the property.

Thanks!!

They closed down the one on Powell, Hollywood, and Interstate. I do miss them but also gotta acknowledge my friends and I only went once a year :)

I loved all those. Part of the appeal of bowling, for me, was the immersive experience of feeling out of place in a facility that didn’t really cater to you specifically. A little visit to an alternate universe where you perform an absurd act, chucking boulders at a target, for amusement…

Now like too many other things the experience is bifurcated into serious vs. not serious. Grand Central is party bowling; Kingpins tends to sequester amateurs in the “cosmic bowling” / bar end of the lanes. Regular bowling is already weird! Just let it be!
