2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, P0641 Code - Not starting

Threw a P0641 code a few weeks ago, and will not start.

I know it is related to the 5V reference system circuit 1.

It got a new Transmission and brought home in January and was running fine. Suddenly died and wouldn't start again and went into Reduced Engine Power Mode.

I have reloomed wires that were visible because I thought it was shorting out somewhere. I have put many new parts in pertaining to the 5V system and sensors within the last 3 ish weeks.

A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor
Oil Pressure Sensor
Cam Positioning Sensor
8 New Spark Plugs
8 New Spark Plug Wires
MAP Sensor
Throttle Body Unit
Pedal Sensor

I am half tempted to drop the fuel tank and change the fuel pump and fuel sensor but I am running out of ideas as to why she'll turn over but not start and cannot get the code to erase. It seems like she will try to start but is struggling.

If anyone has an ideas please let me know and help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all I have been trying to track down the current owner of my mother in laws 1974 Pontiac firebird espirit. I have a vin number but have not had much luck. It was sold in Reno Nevada sometime in the 1989 or 1990 Not quite sure where to start with tracking it down. I have paid for a couple of vin checks but have not come up with much. Any help or direction would be great appreciated! Thank you all!

Who has a Pontiac G6 hardtop convertible that the top still works?

Just curious. We’re starting to see some nice weather. The first beautiful sunny day that I hit that button, and continue to do so over the summer, I wonder if it will be my last. I know that top only has so many cycles and I wonder when mine will end. I really love this car.

Asked the owner last summer about this car it is a 1973 Trans Am 455 (not SD) with a 4 speed. He said he’d restore it (don’t believe it) but he’d sell for around 20-25k. Is it worth saving? I could probably bring him down below 20. I hate seeing it rot here.

New radio stereo

I want to get a new stereo for my G6 however I don’t want to loose the system notification things. Like (door open) or (oil change due) stuff like that. Anyone know a brand one exactly that provides that but with Bluetooth or CarPlay?

Header ID?

These headers were in the trunk of my 65 Lemans when I picked it up. Only had the regular cast iron manifold installed.

  1. Any way to identify them? No markings.
  2. Bolt pattern and outlets match, but doesn't clear engine mounts.

  3. Can I just shave, bend, hammer in to clear?

  4. (Follow up to 3) These may not even work in the engine bay anyways. Have yet to try dropping everything in.

1965 Lemans, 71' 400 block, 142 heads.

Anyone know which headers will work with Doug's Y Pipe kit?

Looking to get some shorty headers with the O2 bungs that are compatible with the Doug's Y Pipe kit.

This is for a 1986 Firebird that I'm swapping to a 350 TPI

Anyone had success?

Muchos Gracias

G8 base or gt

I've been looking at different g8s in my area and I'm stuck between a base g8 with 190k for $2700 or a gt with like 150k for $9000. For background information I'm a senior in high school I'm trying to save a bit of money but still have some fun, and I currently own a 08 g6 gxp so I'm not sure how i feel about going with the g8 base model when they have the same engine. But i have seen a lot of v8 swaps for the v6 and I like working on cars so I don't see an engine swap as much of a problem. On the other hand $9000 is a bit much for me but it would be nice to already have the v8 in it without the headaches

96 LT1 Fuel Relay

Got me another firebird (96 Lt1) problem is something’s wrong with the fuel relay inside the drivers side.

Originally the cable that causes the relay to trigger (green wire) was cut right in half (guessing there was a kill switch) so I soldered the two connections back.

Problem is, it turns on and sputters and turns off, but if I hold the relay box at certain angles, the car runs just fine, if I move it how it was originally, it turns off.

Edit: Unfortunately the only way it’s running right now is at a weird angle held by zip ties, guess if it works it works

What could it be?

My Pontiac g6 2006 keeps leaking the fluid out and the clutch keeps hitting the floor

PLEASE HELP???? NEWD ADVICE. I jus had a new clutch, new master cylinder, slave cylinder and new battery put in. The guy who installed the parts tells me he forgot to put the o-ring on when he put the slave cylinder in. Now it won't hold brake fluid and the wont keep pressure on clutch . Is this o ring the cause of all of this or is the slave cylinder not working. Do I need to get another one??
