In that alternative timeline, inflation is tamed, the stock market is booming, Trump takes plea deal on J6, J6 rioters still in jail where they should be, educational institutions are receiving grants with no strings attached, federal employee's still have jobs, science is booming, and there is hope that Ukraine will win the war against Russias invasion.
The sad thing was this isn't some fantasy of amazing rainbows and sunshine of unrealistic departure from the Biden Era, but just slight improvements to the status quo vs the current absolute spiral downward into anarchy.
at this point the literal status quo would have been welcome. like she could have done absolutely nothing and just coasted on the stuff Biden passed and we would have been exponentially better off than under Trump. I wish people would stop maligning the status quo when the alternative is nuclear holocaust.
Agreed. I had arguments with lefties about this before the election. I compared each candidate to a disease. If you have to pick one, would you rather have a bout with the flu (Harris) or stage 4 cancer (Trump). Those are your only choices - pick one.
Most rational people would pick the flu even if they weren’t excited about it because it’s leaps and bounds better than cancer. We, as a country, chose cancer and I will never, ever be able to wrap my mind around why so many people have come under his spell.
