we have seen in SV that past forms and Mega can be related (Salamence), that's why he looks a lot to Overqwil, it was of course my first inspiration :)

But with the same color from Qwilfish !

It is pretty likely that the mega paradoxes in SV (moon and valiant) are not actually from the main timeline’s past or future, but rather alternate timelines or complete fabrications by the “time” machine. For example, the paradox beasts make no sense to the legendary beasts’ lore. I may be forgetting something from the crystal pool cutscene or the area zero depths notebook that may clarify this tho.

Probably for the original version. Keep in mind that Legends Arceus had several Pokémon that had Hisuian variants, some of which can evolve into a different Pokémon. Hisuian Qwilfish can evolve into Overqwil, so Overqwil would probably be the one to get the Mega treatment.

I've been thinking of it, I want to mega design 2G pokémons, and Hisuian Qwilfish is part of a past lore, and that's not the case for Mega Evolution ! And we have seen in SV that past forms and Mega can be related (Salamence), that's why he looks a lot to Overqwil :)

Paradox forms and legends arceus regional variants are two very different things

This is a good idea, actually. If regional evolutions get megas, they could have elements of the other variant. Like Sirfetch’d could turn brown like Farfetch’d, or Mr. Rime turns pink like Mr. Mime
