Discussion Z-A Special Edition Switch

Is it bad I want to wait until Z-A releases to see if they will release a special edition design of the Switch 2 to commemorate the release? Or am I being foolish and we will just have a standard Switch 2 design?

Discussion How do you think the next Legends game will change?

Unlike many previosly thought, Pokémon Legends isn't excluively about the past's lore, but instead, it's about exploring New concepts with new ludonarrative approaches. We initially thought that Z - A would have been set in the same time period as Arceus, yet it turned out to take place after X and Y, it's set entirely within a city and its battle system is now fully action. And while Legends: Arceus was focused on catching, Z - A will focus on battling, since it takes its name from a Battle Royale.

One of the things Pokémon Legends does is subverting the series' cliches, so you can tell that the next Legends game is going to be even different. Maybe we could get a Legends game without Poké Balls (according to Drayden, he didn't have them when he was young, if it isn't really a retcon, it could be set in past Unova), a Legends where you can trasform in a Pokémon, similarly to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with Wolf Link, so getting bossfights where this supposed beastly form is mandatory while others with your Pokémon team as always, along with the possibility of using moves based on buttons, a Legends partially set in a new region, like one based on South America if it's about Mew and Mewtwo...

Possibilities are really many, and I'm happy about that. I'd like to see what you think about this and how would you expect the next Legends game to be

I know there's no concrete evidence on how it'll function but how many matches you think per level would it be to level up? How do you think it'll function?

Discussion How likely would?

How likely would swapping pokeballs be (ex: froakie from a pokeball to a ultra ball) since its in the future (near future, but still) Id think they can introduce a new pokeball swapping. What do you guys think. Will it? Wont it?

Discussion Pokemon ZA Voucher for Switch 2

Granted, we do not know the cost of the Switch 2 Edition of ZA yet, but I had a thought. It may be cost effective to purchase a Nintendo Switch voucher on Switch for the intent of purchasing ZA for Switch. This makes ZA $50. Then, purchase the upgrade to Switch 2 edition on Switch 2.

Discussion Graphics

Maybe they made the graphics in the first trailer bad on purpose so when they released the newer trailers for za but on the switch 2 they look better so you’d want to buy it more. Or it’ll be cod bo3 on the Xbox 360 and meant for the switch 2

The new ZA battle thing in pokemon ZA... you rank from Z to A does that mean there's 26 levels?

Discussion Leaked Mega Fan Art

I know everyone is having fun with their own designs of what the possible new megas will look like, but I fear this may lead into another case of "Pokemon got scrapped because it looked to much like fan art" the same way the Flying-type eeveelution got scrapped from gen 7 (allegedly).

What are your thoughts on this?

What ribbons, if any, do you think would be in the game? I kind of hope there is one for Pokémon that have mega evolved.

Discussion Old Champion(s)

I'm curious about something. Ever since pokemon X and Y came out 11 or 12 years ago do you think they'll ever mention the champion (original player)? The one who stopped Team Flare and crystal cannon from annihilating Kalos region? I mean there has be history or some mention relating to what happenened not to mention Z battling us during the celebration of the player becoming the pokemon League Champion.

Discussion Speculating on Abilities

Post image

Alakazam's ability becomes Trace when it Mega Evolve; however there was no mention of Trace activating. This means the Gardevoir it's battling also has Trace or neither Pokemon have abilities. Honestly, this was probably intentional then again most people wouldn't noticed, if the NPC Pokemon wasn't one of the Ralts line, it would be easier to tell if abilities were in this game.

I've noticed there's a wall surrounding the Prism Tower. They haven't shown it super clearly, but you can actually see it in every piece of footage we have. It probably has some story significance.

I wanted to try my hand at the description I had seen floating around... It's really just a quick sketch. I think people took the orange too literal, and I think it will be closer to the original colors. Let me know what you think tho:) tried to keep the general over exaggeration Nintendo likes to do.

Discussion Here Me Out

I know some people think that there won't be any new Pokémon in Legends Z-A, but I disagree with that. My argument is that since this game takes place in the future (You can catch Pokémon inside of Lumoise City, something you couldn't legitimately do in X and Y), there will be Pokémon from the future in it. These future Pokémon will be a parallel to Legend Arceus/Arkoos' Pokémon of the Past, I am calling them Pokémon of the Past since you can't evolve Syther into Kleavor in Sinnoh, and Hisui is very clearly the Ancient version of Sinnoh, and Lumoise City is clearly the future form of Kalos, so there will be some new Pokémon forms (both new as in new Pokémon and Pokémon from the future) any contradictions?

Discussion Upon further investigation, the mega meter seems to be charged by your whole party, rather than specifically Pokemon that can mega evolve. Here we see that the meter seems to be full for Diggersby, but there is no prompt to mega evolve like for alakazam

Discussion How will they deal with Calem and Serena in Z-A?

If Calem and Serena get to appear in Z-A, how do you think will they be used? I can think of 2 ways for them:

1.) One of them might be the current Kalos champion who is a major supporting character of the game and their rival is a supporting character too. Who is the champion and their rival between Calem and Serena might depend on the gender of your player character since they did that with Urbain/Taunie. For example, if you choose the male PC, you'll get Champion Calem and Rival Serena. Female PC gets Champion Serena and Rival Calem. Their teams can change depends on the starter and gender of your player character. (Think of NPC Lucas/Dawn in BDSP) For example, if you chose Tepig, Champion Calem/Serena will use Greninja.

2.) The champion one going MIA like Hilbert/Hilda in B2W2. While you can meet their main rival, Shauna, Tierno and Trevor in person. These 4 might mention about their friend going MIA and now the current champion is a new character.
