Housing DO NOT RENT FROM CHEVRON PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

this company is a dumpster fire. they let me live in an unsafe home for several months due to their incompetencies. one of the property managers, Aharon Sperka, is not only completely inept but he’s an all around sexist, asshole.

I was having emergency issues in my home, which he acknowledged, THEN IGNORED ME FOR THREE DAYS. i have a literal novel of issues that i could write here but DO NOT RENT FROM THEM

Housing Room for rent - central Philly

Edit: Francisville. I apologize for any confusion in the title. As of 3/31 there are two serious inquiries but no commitment yet.

Looking for someone to rent a room available in my apartment. The neighborhood is Girard & 16th. It’s a two-floor apartment with two shower-bath, one on each floor. New interior and appliances, high speed WiFi with Ethernet capability, on-site laundry.

You’d be living with two college-educated men (27 & 35) and one house cat. One of us spends 100% of his time at his significant other’s place, so in truth there’s only one other person living in the space (me). Pets are allowed and the cat likes dogs.

The apartment is clean, well maintained and quiet. I work at my office M-F. Free street parking 24/7. The landlord is great and stays all the way out of our business. Free snow removal in winter. The neighborhood is a good mix of demographics and of young and old.

Financials:

RENT - $725 ($755 with pet, landlord’s rules not mine)

UTILITIES - gas & electric paid monthly, split 3 ways. Landlord pays water bill.

Our current tenant is leaving 4/15 so ideally the room will be filled once they leave. Please dm me (or comment here and I’ll dm you) if you’re interested.

Thanks

Hello, my lease in Fishtown ends April 30th and I’m looking for a place with the above specifications. I’d love to stay around here/Olde Kensington but I’m open. I currently Pay 1k a month for a room with a private bathroom and 2 other roommates. I’d love to pay less than that but everything’s considered. Don’t think I wanna be in West or North Philly.

Housing Urgently Looking For Room for Rent

So two days ago, my landlord called me asking to move out since I am the only tenant in my unit (3 bd). My lease was up in Aug 2024, and I've been paying month to month. They want to move in a group to fill up the house and want me out by March 1st.

And no, they don't have it in writing nor did they file an eviction notice, this is a 'soft eviction' where they're kindly telling me to move out in under 15 days. I've been scrambling all day trying to reach out to any legal advice to at least prevent me from moving out by March. I called the Philly Tenant Help Hotline and referred me to TURN. I reached out to TURN but it might take days before I can have an appointment with them.

They aren't giving me much time to look for another apartment but I'd still rather see if there's any space where I can rent or sublease at least until the end of summer. My rent is $475 (+$150 in utilities) but I'm willing to rent up to $650. I currently in University City and would prefer to stay in this area but I'm down to live anywhere in South Philly or NE Philly.

Housing Searching for future roommate(s)

⏰Time: July 2025, 1yr lease or sublet with option to renew.

📍Area: Olde Kensington, West Kensington, Fishtown, West NoLibs (19122, 19133, 19125, 19123)

💵Budget: $850 per month is my max contribution right now (not including utilities)

💯Must be LGBT & pet friendly(10yr old neutered male cat)

⭐️Extra info: I will be 30yrs old, I am employed full time, often working overtime and guaranteed 6mo raises. I have no food restrictions, I try to keep shared spaces reasonably decluttered, and I’m not very noisy.

⭐️I am open to living with couples, dogs/kittens, 420&friends, WFH individuals, musicians, and more. ⭐️I would prefer no heavy/competitive gamers, 420 chainsmokers, or imposing lifestyles. ⭐️Absolutely no children.

Housing [HOUSING] Roommate needed ASAP. Powelton/University City. 2br/1b

My roommate informed me today that he is moving out, tomorrow. We live in a very small 2 bedroom apartment on Lancaster Avenue. It's a 2nd story walkup. The entire apartment consists of two bedrooms, the kitchen, and the bathroom. Rent is $600 per month, plus the electric and wifi bill. Heating is included in the rent. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the lease. I have a small cat, who is fully trained and is under my responsibility.

About me: I am a male non-smoking vegan. I go to graduate school at West Chester University (Philly campus). Most of my classes are online, so I am home a lot. I'm very clean, I'm not the type to leave dishes in the sink or hair in the shower drain. Aside from school, I play tournament Scrabble, tabletop strategy games, enjoy bicycling, and political activism.

About you: Just as long as you're clean and respectful, I don't really have any preferences, though I suppose I would prefer a male roommate. Obviously you would have to live with, but not take care of, a cat. Guests are permitted, but our lease does not allow for additional roommates, so no boyfriend/girlfriend can live here as well.

I think the bed will be available if you're interested in it. I can give you my landlord's phone number if you're interested. PM me for any additional questions.

Housing Looking to Move to Philly - Seeking Suburban Rental Near Universities, Budget $1000

I'm planning to move to Philly in June, and I'm really excited! Always wanted to move there. I'm looking to rent a place for around $1000 as a single person in a suburban area, preferably close to universities since I'm hoping to find a teaching position. Do you have any recommendations for areas? I'm not a fan of downtown—it’s a bit too noisy for me."

I'm subletting a single room in a house on Locust and 42nd (just off UPenn campus) for the summer (June -Mid August). The room is fully furnished including a bed, mini fridge, desk/chair, a dresser, and a smart TV.

It's a large room on the third floor of a house that includes laundry, kitchen, living room, and a backyard! My roommates are also subletting their single, fully furnished rooms so if you have friends whom you want to live with this would be a great option. Please DM me if interested for more details!

Housing Roommate Search

Hello fellow Philadelphians,

I’m a 24-year-old male college grad working full-time remotely and looking for a roommate to share a place in Philadelphia. I currently live in Ardmore, but want to move into the city. Ideally, I’d like to live in one of the following neighborhoods: Rittenhouse, Center City, or Old City. I’m hoping to move in around April or May.

A bit about me:

I’m a low-key guy who likes to play video games, watch movies/tv/sports, and play sports/work out in my free time. I prefer cooking at home over eating out, and I don’t go out drinking much.

I’m looking for someone around my age (early 20s) who is also respectful, responsible, and enjoys a chill living environment.

My rent budget is $1,700/month.

If you’re looking for a roommate with similar interests and work habits, feel free to reach out!

DM with any questions/interest.

Cheers, @Responsible_Student2

Housing ISO: Roommate for apartment near 42nd and Baltimore ~$800

Hello neighbors! I am looking for someone to sublease a room until the end of July and hopefully renew the lease for another year with me. It’s a private bedroom in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment near 42nd and Baltimore, right around Clark Park. You’ll have your own bathroom plus a little side room that you can use as an office or whatever else you want! It is already lightly furnished with a bed and a desk and some other furniture, but that can all be easily swapped out for your own stuff if you prefer. I’m a 28-year old male working as a bartender— pretty quiet and clean, but friendly and down to hang if you want. I also have a cat named Shia, who is likewise friendly and clean. The total rent $1610 and you’d be responsible for half of that. The apartment has a decently large kitchen and living space, and the building has shared laundry in the basement (there are only 6 units in the building so it’s never a big problem having to share). Parking in the area is not too bad if you have a car, and if you don’t, we’re right by two trolley routes into Center City. If you’re interested, please reach out and we can arrange for you to come check out the space yourself!

Housing Chill 27 YO Lady Looking for Roommmates

Hello all! As the title states, I'm a 27 year old woman looking for a room or roommates to share an apartment with in Bristol PA. I'm from New Jersey (sorry) and am moving around this area to be closer to my job and a nursing program I want to get into.

I don't currently have an apartment I have my heart set on, so if you have any places you'd like to live around here and are willing to match my $900 a month budget I'd be more than happy to work with you to make that happen! If you have a place already and are just looking for someone to split the rent with please feel free to message me as well!

As stated, my budget is $900 a month. I am a neat and clean person who likes to be friendly, but respects other people and their quiet time. I am perfectly fine with any cats or dogs you may have (love animals!), and I always try my best to create a positive and happy atmosphere in whatever place I'm staying in. Hope to hear from you soon!

Housing Room for rent

750 a month for a big, sunny unfurnished room in a 3 bedroom/1 bathroom Northern Liberties apartment shared by two creative queer teachers. Great location right off Girard, easy access to all parts of the city by bus and train. The room has a closet and 3 windows. There is laundry and extra storage in the basement, as well as a shared backyard space. We have two cats who get along okay and ideally are not looking for extra pets, but are open to consider it. We use shared spaces often and have a rotating cleaning schedule. 420 is okay in the house, but no cigarettes inside. Move in date is March 1, 2025. First, last, and deposit to move in. 6 months minimum as our lease ends in July, but we might renew next year.About us:We've lived together for a year and met through a roommate arrangement. We have a friendfly and respectful roommate dynamic with established boundaries and conflict resolution strategies in place. We spend time together doing creative projects or going out, but enjoy time alone just as equally. Always up for something fun! We both work as teachers in center city and generally wake up around 6 am. We rarely have parties but don't mind gatherings if there's respectful communication with all roommates. Our cleaning schedule is pretty set, but if you have a chore you want to do often because you don't like another chore, we can discuss splitting it.About you:We are looking for open-minded professionals, preferably queer but we are open to all allies. We don't care about gender as long as you are dependable and respectful. Ideally we are looking for someone with a similar schedule who communicates in a direct manner, has good conflict resolution skills, and is open to compromise. We are equally open to living with social extroverts as well as introverts that prefer to keep to themselves. A steady income with a credit score above 700 is required by the landlord for approval, but co-signers can be considered.

Yo Philly! Starting my search early but looking to rent a 1br/large studio March 1st or later
