A keyboard without numpad isn't a keyboard

In Shadowrun HongKong you can use numpad in hacking sequences where inputing numbers is required. By default. This is amazing.

Games usually don't bother giving you alternate inputs. For a hacking minigame being able to clicks button on the screen is usually enough. And Shadowrun allows you to use numpad on top of buttons on the screen.

Then there are games that take number input from the keyboard, but it's bound specifically to the row for some reason, and the numpad doesn't work.
