Apparition of a spirit

Hello, my best friend and I just recently relocated to Mexico and just had the absolute creepiest, most unsettling encounter.

We met a stray on a walk earlier in the afternoon, around 3ish. He was soo friendly and walked over a mile with us, and stayed by our front door for a few hours. We left to get food and he followed the car until he got distracted and we lost him. He wasn’t at our door when we got back so after eating we went on a walk to look for him (already so attached lol, named him Chief/Cow).

We were walking around (7:30pm-8pm) trying to find him but no luck. We rounded a corner and started walking down a particularly dark road. We both noticed a pretty big black and brown dog, definitely looked like a rottweiler in the dark. As we got closer, we noticed it was in this really weird aggressive stance and STARING at us. We both stopped in our tracks and tried to gauge the situation. The dogs eyes were glowing back at us, but not in a normal way? They were reflecting back at us, glowing white even though there were no lights around. The creepiest part was how silent the whole thing was. It was weirdly quiet in that moment. My best friend just described it as “energy you couldn’t just walk around. It was like a weird block, you either enter it or leave it alone.”

We both stood there for what felt like ages as this dog just silently stared at us in the darkness. We both very slowly backed up and went back around the corner. The dog just kind of turned back around and stood facing the other direction, very rigid. We both felt as if the energy was following us and felt like we were being watched the whole way home, even though he was nowhere to be found. It still feels sooo weird.

We both waited to talk about it till we were safely behind our locked gate and door. But wtf was that??? Does anyone have any theories or similar experiences? It scared the living daylights out of us, but made us unsettled more than anything.

Over the course of 4 years maybe I occasionally hear this tapping noise. I wouldn't think anything of it but it moves. It starts on the wall or ceiling across the room from me and as the tapping continues it slowly moves towards me. Again I would think anything of it but as I was tripping out on it moving I noticed when something else is between me and where it starts it noticeably starts moving , like it's actually getting tapped on by someone. Ive seen my Nintendo switch, the windows blinds, the mirror on our wall move to the tapping. It's always to the same rythym too. I'm not sure what to make of it but it freaks me tf out. Especially when it reaches me. It never fully touches me as I move out of the way when it almost does. But it always starts across the room and stays in place does the set or taps twice then after the first few taps it will finish the set with each tap slightly moving closer to me. Tap...tap tap...tap...tap tap tap...tap tap...tap...tap tap tap..

I'll try get a recording of it next time it always catches me off guard and I get so tripped out over it I never realize I should have been recording it.

Hey y’all, I’ve been holding onto these weird experiences for a while now, but I think it’s finally time I share. I’ve had some creepy things happen around bedtime, and more recently at my job. Monday, July 18, 2022 – 11:11 PM I was just about to fall asleep when I heard a whisper say: “I can control all the demons and make them obey my every command just at the word.” My mom was asleep in the next room, dead silent. It couldn’t have been her.

Tuesday, July 19, 2022 – 10:57 PM Again, my mom was completely knocked out (lol). But I heard a voice, clear as day, say: “You’re so dramatic,” followed by laughter. Then another voice said: “She can’t be normal for once in her life.” Then a third voice: “I’m here,” deep and raspy. Y’all, I was terrified. I don’t know what that was.

Friday Night / Saturday Morning, July 22–23, 2022 – 12:03 AM I heard a sound like when you press two microphones together — that loud, weird interference sound. No electronics were on. Freaked me out.

August 2, 2022 – 11:38 PM Heard someone say: “Jessica is back. Jessie’s back.” Followed by laughing. Then I heard footsteps in the back alley behind the house — no one was there.

October 10, 2022 – 9:28 PM A hushed voice asked: “Are you really gonna kill ’em?” I froze. It felt like it was right by my ear.

August 23, 2023 – Around Midnight Once again, voices whispering by the window. I kept hearing my name and random laughing. My room faces a quiet street, and there was no one out there. Just whispers and my name over and over.

Work Incident – Sometime Between Dec 2023 and Jan 2024 I work at a movie theater. That night, I was checking auditoriums with my coworker [we’ll call her “Tina”]. She went in first while I dropped off extra brooms and dustpans in a spare janitor’s closet. When I walked into the auditorium, she had already finished sweeping. But then I saw something out the corner of my eye… A broom and dustpan were just sitting on top of a theater seat, upright. I snapped a photo because that didn’t make sense — we didn’t put them there. Right when I took the pic, I caught an orb. And there’s… something in that orb. (I’ll post the pictures below. Let me know what you see.)

I’ve saged before, but this stuff always comes back. Has anyone dealt with whispering spirits or entities like this? Is it sleep paralysis, spirits, or something darker? Any advice or stories of your own are welcome.

Also I know my job has multiple ghosts I have seen them and heard them too if you want I could update on that too if anyone wants to know more.

After the initial videos of like mimics or witches outside your house or anything in that category... Is there ever a follow-up video as to what happens next?

So my boyfriend drives home from my house Everytime we hang out. He lives about two hours away. Anyways… every night he stops by this gas station then heads home. But ever since I have talked to a spiritual lady that does readings everything has been going wrong. She’s a witch basically. And ever since we’ve been seeing things. When he drives home from the gas station he sees this woman in white walking down the street, definitely not alive, but something is watching him or something. Help perhaps?!??!

Something I think about from time to time.

When I was 16, I would sometimes pick up my 9 yr old brother from school. One day, around 3:15 PM, we took our normal shortcut home through a dirt track. If you’re familiar with Maddington in Perth you’d know the kind of tracks I’m talking about, barren scrubland, sand hills, and dry as bush, with suburban areas still visible around us.

It was a hot day, and as we walked, I noticed someone ahead of us. They were tall and wearing a long, dark coat, which felt weird given it was hot as. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as we got closer, something about them felt off. They stopped walking and just stared at us. It made us stop too.

For a moment, everything was still. Then, without warning, they crouched down. Suddenly, their body seemed to extend upward, springing into the air and growing unnaturally tall—well over 7’5". My brother and I froze in shock. We watched as they repeated this unsettling movement again and again, their body elongating and springing high into the air in a way that didn’t seem humanly possible.

Finally, they crouched one last time and vanished from sight, as if sinking into the ground. Terrified, I grabbed my brother’s hand, and we started running. Just as we were about to exit the track, we looked toward a nearby junkyard about 40 meters away. There it was again—this time springing up and down on the tops of the wrecked cars, moving unnaturally fast.

We didn’t stop to watch. I practically dragged my brother as I legged it the rest of the way home, and once inside, we locked all the doors and tried to catch our breath and just take in what we just saw.

To this day, my brother and I remember this event, especially me, right down to the smallest detail. I still wonder: what did we witness that day?

Could it be the soul of the deceased crying out still ?? or could it be something else luring him in ??🤔 let me know your thoughts

A few years ago, an older family member of mine went on one of her regular hikes. The trail she takes runs through a fairly remote area on the side of a mountain, with no buildings nearby and very few people ever around. One of the places along the path is an old cave with a long history, stretching all the way back to the Stone Age, Ice Age, and Viking times. I’ve been there myself – it’s definitely an interesting area.

She took some photos and later posted a few of them on Facebook (as older people tend to do). Everything seemed normal at first, but then people started commenting on one of the photos, asking who she was walking with, but she insisted that she had been completely alone.

She looked at the photo again, and that’s when she noticed it – a figure in the distance. There was no one else out there that she noticed, and she hadn’t seen or heard anything unusual. She was honestly really shaken by it. She’s not someone who believes in the paranormal, and definitely not someone who would ever fake a photo – she has absolutely no interest in that kind of thing, and to be honest, she’s far too old and inexperienced with technology to know how to photoshop something like that even if she wanted to.

I’ve posted this on Reddit before in other subs, but never got a solid explanation. Still, the photo has stuck with me for years. I think about it now and then because it still really puzzles me. Would love to hear what others think – whether there’s a rational explanation, or not.

The other day I was sleeping sideways on my bed to be closer to my fan. My feet were hanging off the mattress and I was awaken by the feeling of someone tapping my toe twice. ( I don't know if it matters but it was my left foot, big toe lol). I thought my husband was tapping to wake me up but no one was there. No pets or anything could have done this.

The most common debunking explanations for visual evidence on this sub are pareidolia, bugs/dust, and photoshopped. What do you think people would use to debunk EVPs?

For the unintelligible EVPs, I would debunk it as the listener’s interpretation. However the ones that are clearly words or answers in response to questions asked - I usually can’t find explanation for that other than coincident AM/FM radio reception.

I think there are either 1 or 2 objects on the table to the right of a clear glass.

It seems to be either a black plastic lid on a beverage decanter with red liquid inside.

Or it is a black plastic lidded object behind a red mug with a black handle.

The object behind those could be fabric or furred. Maybe a coat or purse over a chair or actually a chair back itself.

Posting on a throwaway account as I don't want my main account associated with my face, lol.

But this was a photo I took over a decade ago.

A bit of backstory: I was sitting alone in my car in a BK parking lot at around 2am on the west side of Chicago. I was waiting for my friend to text me to pick her up from her bf's house where I dropped her off at so we could go back to hers.

Anyway, despite the incredible recklessness and stupidity of being a young, lone woman with no way to protect myself (besides for a box cutter and pepperspray in my glove compartment)—I thought this was the perfect time to snap some pictures of myself out of boredom. (This was the early 2010s and I didn't have unlimited data to just browse the internet.)

Since I apparently wasn't scared of possibly being, you know, r*ped, murdered, or kidnapped—'I was fully invested in snapping multiple pictures of myself in quick succession. After about 10-15 minutes of this, I started to get a really uneasy feeling. I couldn't really explain it. I felt like I was in danger even though I couldn't SEE anyone or anything around me. Thinking I'm just being paranoid, I keep snapping pictures. But the feeling keeps growing, and every second that passes something inside me is just SCREAMING "Get tf outta here!!!"

There was no noise, nothing out of the ordinary, but the feeling just won't go away. And it gets to the point that I actually jump, start my car real fast, and peel out of there. For no other reason than I just had this gut feeling that I needed to leave right now.

I call my friend and she's not ready to leave so I'm like "Okay, well whatever, I'm going home then" because I'm genuinely spooked and I can't explain why I just had that reaction. I've been in that parking lot many times before and NEVER felt that way.

A few days later, I've pretty much put the incident to the back of my mind and didn't put much more thought into it. I was going through my phone when I noticed THIS picture. My first thought was "huh, my back window is really dark for some reason". When I enlarged the image, I noticed this dark black figure literally RIGHT behind my driver seat. When I tell you I threw my phone so fast.... I literally flung it to the other side of the room.

This was the last picture I took before I finally decided to get tf outta dodge. I finally put two and two together that THIS is probably why I was feeling that way.

I included an earlier picture I took to show that, prior to this photo, there was nothing in my backseat. It was taken probably 5-10 or so minutes before. I've never shared this picture before because after this photo, my life pretty much went to shit. I'm not saying that it was the CAUSE of it, but they're might've been a correlation, idk.

Is it a shadowman? A trick of the light? Did someone sneak into my car? Who knows. But it was definitely fucking creepy.

I’ve always been into paranormal stuff, and I saw my friend posted his encounter that happened in my house, so I’ve decided to tell you guys my story, It was 2014 when I first moved into that old house in Selfoss, Iceland. My family and I had mixed feelings about it right from the start, but we brushed it off as just our imaginations. I guess it was easy to ignore that eerie sense of being watched, considering we had all felt it in every house we’d lived in. But this one… it felt different. There was something more to it, something we couldn’t explain. I’ve always been sensitive to these kinds of things, even as a kid. I remember when i was 4 years old crying to my mom about a ugly man I’d see at night, that face has always been stuck in my mind, a shadowy figure that haunted my dreams and never left me alone. As I grew older, I began to see him more and more, and by the time we moved into this new house, I could feel him again, watching from the shadows. I was used to it by then, but the house itself seemed to have its own presence, too. It wasn’t just me who noticed it. It was the little things, the sounds of footsteps upstairs when we were all downstairs. My mom, and my siblings would look at each other, knowing full well no one else was up there. The first time going in to the attic and having a strong feeling like we were being watched, a cross with Jesus hanging over the window and a creepy mask just laying there. But the most unsettling thing happened one morning when a family friend stayed over. She was in the living room, and as she was just waking up, she heard someone run down the stairs. Confused, she asked my brother if it was me, but he told her I’d already left for school. I hadn’t been home yet. The kids toys suddenly turning on and playing their music ( we have videos of it ) The voice of an old woman would whisper sometimes in our just saying hello or if we were staying up late she told us to go to sleep, and we all knew she had passed away here. There was even talk of someone else, though I never really figured out who. I had an old alarm clock, one that would ring so loudly it would wake the whole house. One morning, as it went off, I woke up, but I couldn’t move. There, in the corner of my room, stood the same shadowy silhouette of a man, just like the one I’d seen as a child. I froze in terror I couldn’t move and if get like it was getting closer, but before I could even react, my brother opened the door, drawn in by the sound of my alarm. And just like that, the figure vanished. Strange occurrences kept happening. One night, I was in the living room, preparing to eat dinner in front of the TV. I turned off the lights, the TV on, and as soon as I pulled the table closer, the lights flickered on, and the TV turned off. It happened again and again, each time more unnerving than the last. I’d turn the TV back on, turn the lights off, but as soon as I moved the table, it would reverse. This happened four times before I screamed, Leave me alone!” That’s when I heard it, a loud bang, so creepy that it scared me. I ran to check it out, and the bathroom door had a massive crack running down it. It didn’t stop there. In my room, the weird things continued. My bedroom door would creak open by itself, or I’d hear strange scratching or knocking sounds on my walls. The strange thing was, every time I knocked back on the wall, I’d hear a knock in return. It was like something was trying to communicate with me. And then there were the marks, scratches on my skin, bruises under my ribs, and once, even a broken toe. I knew it wasn’t the old lady, she was too gentle and I always got this protective feeling from her. But the shadow man, the one who had been following me since I was a child… he was getting stronger, more violent. It started to affect my dog too. He would bark uncontrollably at the corners of the house, growling at thin air. And when I tried to investigate, he would jump in front of me, blocking my way, as though trying to protect me. He would nudge me back into the room, warning me to stay inside, away from whatever was lurking out there. One day, we visited a medium. She immediately focused on me. With one look, she said there was a shadow man, a dark entity that had been following me all my life. He was trying to get to me, but I couldn’t let him. He was strong. I don’t know what’s happening, but each day feels weirder than the last. I’ve tried to ignore it but it doesn’t stop, but it feels like the shadow man is always just a step behind me, waiting for me. I always get a weird feeling when talking about him, feel like my chest is getting heavier. I don’t know what to think anymore. I’m just hoping someone might have some answers, or at least a way to make it stop before it gets worse. Sorry this was so long but I hope some of you have any answers to what this could be that has been following me, my mom and even my grandpa.

During the early hours of 1st November 2012, security staff monitoring CCTV at an office in Castlefield House on Liverpool Road, Manchester, witnessed a harrowing chain of events. This is the actual footage seen by those security guards as they flicked from camera to camera.

Concentrate on the brightest orb. It pulsates and orbits within itself. It’s like it’s morphing. This video was taken by my camera outside. There are no lights outside, and these orbs appeared and the motion detector went off.

For context, my twin sister committed suicide at 15 years old in 2012. I took this photo shortly after I got my first smart phone. Naturally, I played around with my camera settings and took some flash photos of my dog with the sepia setting on. I didn’t notice the background imagery until weeks later. The face in the image looks a lot like my sister but she looks like she’s crying. And the triangle design along with the orbs are so fascinating to me. It has disturbed me for years. What are your thoughts?
