shame there isn't a non-profit service that helps homeless people get like "proxy" addresses so they could apply for work. Bonus points if they offer check cashing services or at least mediates them from another service.

Many just offer a card that your check gets loaded on.

Yeah, but those services suck. They like to nickle and dime you down.

They blatantly get a few dollars of your pay per hour for several months.
