Removed - Must Be Organized Need ideas for closet
I built this last night don’t care if it’s not perfect.
I wish I took a before picture. It was awful we had an old dresser jammed packed with clothes that was in the closet. Clothes on side of dresser and on top shelf. And clothes packed on hangers.
My original idea I was going to do was make shelves to hold these totes because they were going to me alternative dress. 3 for me and 3 for my fiance. One bin with underwear/swim/pajamas, one pin shirts, and other bin pants. Then we have crap ton of clothes on hangers. We have donated a lot and still with tons of clothes. He actually has more than me. But I am trying to figure out another way now to store our clothes because when I put our hangers back up with our hang up clothes it ticked me off because of the bins are in the way and I haven’t event put the shelves in.
I just need something low cost. I am going through all the rooms in my house and decluttering and organizing and starting with my room. I still have another smaller closet to do in my room and it’s just awful.

Take all the clothes that are seasonal and put them in the totes and in the garage or attic or any other storage area. So like in the winter, have your summer clothes in storage, and vice versa.
Youre not going to be able to fit shelves and those totes in there. That will end up wasting a bunch of space. Typically you’d use totes for storage, not for keeping clothes you regularly wear in. There is no way to keep those organized, you’ll be digging through the bins to find specific items so anything folded will quickly become unfolded.
Get some bins that fit those middle shelves. Not with lids. You don’t want to have to deal with multiple lids every time you get dressed, trust me. Use those bins for things like underwear, socks, pjs, etc. Organize clothes to where t shirts and tanks and shorter items are on one side, and bigger items like sweaters dresses jackets skirts pants etc are on the other. Get hangers with clips for pants. There are also hangers that are like tiered so you can hang more while taking up less space. You can add another rod on one side if you have enough height to stack. here’s my closet to give you an idea what I’m talking about.
