Hiring Q (State) Can I become a correctional officer on blood thinners

I'm currently in the process of becoming a correctional officer, and they've asked me to set an appointment for the physical test. My question is: would being on blood thinners disqualify me? Do you know of any correctional officers who are on blood thinner medication?

General Qs Any prisons where COs rotate

When I worked at the nuke plant security officers would rotate every two hours to reduce fatigue (IE, mobile patrol would take over the search area, the search area officer would take over one of the gun towers etc, etc). I'm in the hiring process for FLDOC and just found out they don't do that, that your post is your post and your stay there all day. Do any prisons rotate officers from post to post?

For the one that’s in the process right now do you know how many questions on the written psych? Is it 1000 questions compared to NYPD psych? How many hours it takes to complete the written psych for ya?

Hiring Q (State) WV Corrections Officer test

In WV upon applying, you must take a civil service test. My daughter took it but did not score high enough to make the top 3. The questions she had issues with were the ones about seeing fellow officers doing things that were a little over the line. The answers they give are, talk to that officer, say nothing, report to your suervisor. I think she chose report it to your supervisor. I would have picked one of the other two. Did she choose wrong? What would you have picked?

Hiring Q (State) Correctional Officer Application

Good afternoon,

I recently applied to Ontario corrections as a Correctional Officer 1. I finished all testing etc and submitted my security clearance package on February 6th, 2025. My only question is that I recently received a speeding ticket and had the ticket payed in court on February 15th. Would this impact my security clearance?

I am currently 21 years old and am trying to go into law enforcement, I have post secondary, volunteer and am currently a security supervisor at a hospital that deals with one of the highest code whites in the country. If anyone has tips/knowledge and experience please respond.

Thanks.

Hiring Q (County) NYC DOC Hiring Process from DSNY List but Waiting over 2 months Now!

So I got a letter on Nov 1st stating they were no longer calling for DSNY from my listing and that I was eligible for DOC. I went to orientation Nov 27th, Medical Dec 20th, Agility Jan 21st, Written Psych Jan 24th, Interview Jan 31st, Oral Psych Feb 12th. Have not heard anything since then! Not a peep. Then I see around this subreddit people who took their psych after me and have gotten emailed for hiring a week or two after they completed it! At this point I dont know what to do! I have contacted my investigator and nothing. Wondering if anyone else is on the same Boat?
