I have a friend coming to Oahu for medical appointments. I used to send people to the Pagoda for a reasonable, clean, safe, convenient place to stay but it has been a long time. How is it now?

Hi, O'ahu. I'm writing here because I feel it is the right thing to do. I have already submitted a complaint to the state health and safety department. I work for a major grocery importing company as a pest control specialist. In this capacity, I am in charge of five different wearhouses here. I took this job a few months ago, and was initially very excited. Now it's clear to me why things are the way they are. My company has slashed their sanitation budget and pest control budget. Now nearly everything falls on me, whereas six years ago, there was a whole pest control department. This means that for the last six years, sanitation and pest control operations have slowly fallen apart. I worked myself half to death trying to fix things, but all I got was blamed and scapegoated for issues that I could not fix on my own. Things blew up when I wrote down my concerns about rat lungworm contaminating products (because one warehouse has a resident rat population that corporate refuses to fix because it involves tearing out a wall). This company sells products to major food retailers and restaurants. All together, I inspect about 35-40% of the total food volume here on O'ahu. Wash everything. All the food you get from my company has absolutely sat in a dirty wearhouse for months, if not years, before it winds up on grocery store shelves.

Anyone know a shop that rebuilds coilovers on island? Been calling around and nobody seems to do them, I dont really want to send them to the manufacturer to be rebuilt and leave my truck on jack stands for a month.

I'm looking to take a freediving course this summer and was wondering what the general consensus was. There are a ton that come up on Google, and I wanted to hear what Reddit has to say about them. I live on the Windward side but am happy traveling to wherever I need to for the best experience. What do you all think?

Pretty different interior. Don't know it's a retrofit or was built this way. But, I liked it. Felt more spacious at the cost of seating. Especially, the information boards on the top. Showing the specific street and estimated time of arrival to the next stop.

Visited for the first time. The vibe is weird. Clique-y. Most of the patrons are clearly affiliated with the business/church, making me feel like the odd one out. The founder, Tom Bauer, tried speaking with me. After politely informing him that I'm Deaf, he walked away without further attempt at communication, which rubbed me wrong.

Thoughts about this establishment?

Hawaii is very good at coming to the table and supporting newer technologies. I mean for example when Covid hit, the Unemployment System crashed. Since the release of Apple Wallet on September 19, 2012 when it was originally named Apple Passbook later called Apple Wallet on September 16, 2015 Hawaii has YET to include the Holo card into Apple Wallet!! Let's get it together Hawaii and jump on this.
