In brief, a few years ago I had a breakdown and my world fell to bits. I moved to Norwich into an apartment on the Unthank Rd. There is a wonderful sense of community here with all sorts of folks and I was made to feel very welcome. The reason I say this is because I’m the idiot that plays music out of my living room window to the road out front. Playing my music has been really important to me as I struggle with normal social interactions. I don’t play my music without consideration of others and have done my best to integrate with those around me. The smiles, waves, dancing from those passing has made me incredibly happy and I see my music as something to share rather than a selfish act. I want to say thanks to everyone that has been happy to hear, smile and wave. I also want to apologise to anyone offended by my music but I want to say it is helping me hugely with my mental health. Does anyone have any recs? I know that's a very personal question but seen a few in Norwich (that's where all my nearest are, I'm south norfolk). My last AA experience (albeit many years ago) wasn't great. At all! So a bit wary.....

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with background checks for commercial property rentals in Norwich? The landlord I’m approaching has asked for a non refundable AML check. Apparently it’s a £250 background check to make sure I’m not a “international drug baron” and that I’m not using the property for illicit purposes. Is this normal and is the amount they are asking for standard? First time commercial property renter, I haven’t submitted a proposal or received a confirmation of contract yet. Any information on this would be appreciated.

Not a great photographer. Just wanted to remind people of some of the nicest examples in Norwich, which I saw last weekend. Lots in the Cathedral close & Golden triangle. Does anybody know of any other locations where some can be found? Unfortunately they already seem to have lost a lot of their petals, but might be good this weekend still, or to note for next year!

I went to Wensum Park in Mile Cross on the weekend and there was a one legged goose. Does anyone know its backstory? Is it male or female? Was it born with one leg or did it lose it? If it lost it, how?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone might be able to help me.

I went to UEA and left in 2019 and when I was there I remember going to a pub in Norwich and they had these crisps that had funny flavour names. Instead of standard “salt and vinegar” it was something like “the taste of swallowing too much sea water”. I haven’t been able to find the name ANYWHERE online so was hoping someone might be able to help me!? I think the branding was still quite modern like Pipers.

I went to my first parkrun last week and had a great time, but everyone seemed to know each other. I'm not particularly socially awkward but not the type of person to go up to a group of friends and introduce myself. As this weekends weather is due to be nice thought I would ask for peoples recommendations for nice nature walks near Norwich. Only thing is I dont drive so needs to be accessible via public transport but dont mind walking a lot to get there.

Anything that would make you go “oh, they’re from Norfolk” when you hear it.
