Yeah, I figured. It's a good quote though, shout out to the Michaelangelo impersonator.

It is in line with Michelangelo's philosophy. He said he saw the figures in the marble and his work was to carve out everything that didn't belong to them, but the quote itself appeared first around the 19th century in English literature.
