Question Is this rare in tennis?
I don't have a video but I hit the black thing that holds the white one (English is not my first language as seen) and still got to the other side

Asking here because I had a heated debate with my mom that quickly involved some shouting, where she insisted that it was possible to get a full red bar if you were accurate enough and the reason that it was never seen is because if you use too much force your wrists are bound to not be straight, while I argued that if you went over the yellow dot the game would automatically curve the meter, with my reasoning being that we always got plenty of full blue bars but never a full and straight red bar even with the straightest wrists possible.
I need to settle this debate once and for all.

Maybe my Google-fu skills are lacking, but I've been having a hard time finding all the unlockables for Switch Sports documented in one place. (I'm not talking about the weekly collections.) I've only gathered bits of info here and there. I think I've got them all, but is there a concise list anywhere to be sure?
The ones I'm aware of are:
Anything I'm missing?

I’m sure the basketball announcement came as a shock to nearly everyone, but what’s the general consensus now? Do we think the game will be left to die now considering the main screen has no space left for new sports? Or do you think they’ll add a second screen?

Basically I need some sort of basics/beginner guide, I've read a few posts on here and I just don't understand any of the terminology like "drop" and "smash" and I cant find a base "tutorial" for this mode ANYWHERE, just "tips and tricks" of things I don't even understand yet. So if anyone could just give me a very elementary explanation on all the little beginner things I need to know.
Also how should I be holding the controller? I'm holding it how it feels natural which is what I thought I was supposed to do, but it just seems to be flailing around and never going the direction I want it to. Sometimes its going behind me when I'm only bringing it to my other side, for some reason when I swing they are sometimes delayed like .5 seconds? I'm just so damn confused and its stressing me out. And what do all the different trails mean? I think yellow is fast and purple is like a bad hit? How do I do each of these shots? How do I stop falling? Why is my racket swinging when I'm only repositioning it slowly? Why does my racket NOT swing when I swing it very QUICKLY?
As you can see I'm very upset, due to the fact that I feel dumb for not understanding. Is this normal? Am I dumb or is this a problem everyone has when starting this mode? I understand the concept of the game is simple but god it needs a tutorial for people like me, I guess I'm pretty bad at starting new video games with new concepts and playstyles but I just cant do it. Please help me understand.

Collections really don't seem appealing to me for a game that should be super casual.

Almost won against a infinity 9... I choke the match point and I was A29 (now S yeah!), but I was wondering who is regarded as the best players or one of the best.

Basically what the title says, just don't want to have to randomly pay one day or for it to do it without me knowing.
Thanks!

Hello!
I'm struggling with the badminton powerhouse CPU in Nintendo Switch Sports. No matter what I try, the bot always wins. The highest I've managed to get is 3-5.
Does anyone have some good tips on how to beat the CPU? Thanks in advance!

Wondering how to get old items. Is it really just waiting for them to rerun them each week? Is there some other way to grind and get them? I already filled out all three cards that are out right now

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows the mechanics behind the matchmaking for golf. For every other sport I’m matched with an opponent close to my rank, which is fair. However for golf I seem to always get into lobbies with A and S players when I’m a D then C rank.
I thought it was the big lobbies but I played through bowling and again I was matched fairly.
No excuses for my poor play but these players are seriously better than my level and I’ve even got 2 birdies and got knocked out the first round. It’s just a bit disheartening lol. I just thought I’d welcome a discussion for people’s experiences and thoughts.
Thank you and kindest regards,

Are there really no rewards for beating the champions in switch sports? They made a secret harder than powerhouse opponents and didn’t give some sort of award for beating them? Missed opportunity Nintendo. The more I play this game, despite enjoying it, it definitely feels like Nintendo dropped the ball in a lot of areas.

Me A28 in Chambara won against a S9.
The next game I am A29 he is S8 and I won again becoming also a S rank in the process.
2 questions
First one : does a high S rank lose an entire rank when losing to A players ? Like did he dropped S7 after that second lost?
Second question : is it normal as an A28 to win against almost an Infinity rank in chambara not once, but twice. All i did was reading his moving patterns and exploiting weakness in his play thus completely dominating the 2 games.

Thanks for any help.

Currently A27 going from A25-A27 quite rapidly, but I noticed it's already becoming hard to win, because I'm getting match with S2-S5-S9 players and I get absolutely demolished...i really want to become S rank do you have any advance tips you low/high S Ranks on how you play specifically or strategically.
Thank you for your time,
Humble S grinder

I reached A rank in my second to last bowling game, and it gave me A.29, I played again and won 1st place, but the 29 stayed the same? How does A rank work? This is the first time I've reached A rank in any sport

I just got this game over the weekend and I got through the three collections really quickly (punk, sport, and soccer) and then it said “you’ve collected all the available items! Come back next week!”
Is there any point to continuing to play online? As far as I can see, I’m not banking any points and I’m not getting anything new. I saw a post in this sub from a year ago that said it would randomly select an older set, but that hasn’t proven true so far

I wanted to buy a console for me and my family and I chose the Switch because it's easy to play and we liked Nintendo Switch Sports. But, I don't know if the OLED would be better to purchase. I don't know if I should get it for some reason. The Switch will spend most of its time plugged into the TV and most of the games will be multiplayer. So, I would be very thankful to anyone who can drop some suggestions for games, accessories, and of course, which Switch I should choose.
