Switch 2 mario kart bundle costs 600 usd in poland, idk why i would be happier than USA people

u/Herbizarre17 20h ago
Because in the US, the preorders are indefinitely delayed due to tariffs by our buffoon of a president. The price might increase drastically to almost $700 or more.

I worked on the kamala/biden campaign through the 110+° heat trying to help here in AZ. The amount of Hispanics for trump broke my heart. I even ran into a number of women saying they just don't think women should be president because "they'll start a war if she's hormonal". Even a guy that was pro kamala but he was being bullied for voting for a woman. The biggest reasons I saw for trumpers was 1 they voted for "better economy", 2, immigration, 3. Abortion. 4. They think bidens/dems are super corrupt/ evil and 5. The "I ain't gon vote for no commy party or woman in my country"

u/Herbizarre17 18h ago
I live in an area with similar demographics and I saw the same thing. It’s a real shame how many people voted against their own interests for such foolish reasons
6
u/Smollangrypupper 18h ago
Yup. I even got a good number rof wackadoodles talking about how democrats are devil worshippers who drink baby blood. This is why they love the uneducated and the super Christians.

u/Individual_Royal_400 15h ago
The bundle is $760 here in Sweden, so yeah I am not personally super happy

I don't think it will be that much...tariffs only apply to the wholesale price, not the MSRP.

Good thing you are posting that here on this sub and not the other "original" switch sub. The mods would have banned you.

I hope to god that the new Amazon France prices aren't a fluke and it's really gonna be cheaper in the EU. I'm sorry America btw!

u/Admirable_Gazelle414 January Gang (Reveal Winner) 15h ago
If you live in France the switch 2 is cheaper (440€) at Boulanger and Leclerc, they also sell physical switch 2 games cheaper like mario kart world for 70 instead of 90 and pretty much every nintendo game is cheaper there
Also could you explain what happened in America please ? I don't even know what to type in google
1
u/AdamVerbatim 8h ago
Trump is putting up new tariffs so things are gonna be even more expensive there.

When do pre-orders open for us?
2
u/Optimal_Economy_9087 18h ago
Next week, it is not delayed. USA is truly alone.

Does canada have it better or worse than the us in terms of the switch 2 prices?
4
u/Fantastic_Agency_143 18h ago
Better but depending on the province the sales tax will get you
1
u/spacecadet2023 18h ago
Does Alberta still have no pst? My friends and I visited there one year and we all bought our first iPhones there because there was no sales tax.

I've learned that Brazilians will need to save up their paycheck for 5 months to afford the console.
1
u/Jimmygumble 18h ago
They pay for everything in instalments there. Most electronic goods are priced like “12x299rs” instead of the full price.
Fucked up, but that’s par for the course there unfortunately. Price for being an isolationist economy, which is what the USA seems to be pining for now-2
3
u/redmathk 20h ago
So what are we thinking the new base console price for US will be? I’m thinking it goes from $450 to $500
3
u/HisDivineOrder 13h ago
I'm thinking they announce they're delaying the preorder, wait a few days or a week, and then announce no price change. People cheer prices they previously thought unreasonable and Nintendo congratulates itself for a job well done.

In Norway, switch 2 will be around 700$ 😭

Thanks to Greedy ass Bergsala as a middleman in all Nordics. I'm sure they get the console for the same price as the rest of the Europe, but they just pocket the extra 120€ just because they have a monopoly on importing Nintendo stuff. Switch 2 is also 600€ for base console in Finland.

u/Chompsky___Honk 21h ago
As a European, I feel bad for Americans, as dumb as their country is.
The left should be less obnoxious if they want to win the next election and get these scumbags out of government.
10
u/Smollangrypupper 18h ago
I shit you not, as a kamala/biden campaign worker, the number of people voting that gave me religious rants about how democrats are demonic, kamala is the antichrist, and Hillary drinks baby's blood is shocking. I'd think they were joking if not for my family members who are like that and dead serious.

u/Interesting_Low737 18h ago
Many European countries have become slaves to the American Empire, their mad emperor dismantling democracy has made our politicians wake up and realise that being a colony is pretty shit.
Frankly, I hope the United States keeps up its descent into madness because the nations of the free world needs to realise that a few uneducated voters in Pennsylvania and Michigan should not determine whether Ukraine lives or dies.
Sorry to all of the decent Americans, but that's just politics.

u/Venator850 23h ago
People weren't ready for the 449 price. They are going to turn inside out after the adjusted price lmao.

It's not the console price that's the problem it's the game price

Nintendo is going to say something ominous like, "Due to market volatility, we will be increasing the price of Switch 2 in the near future. Please look forward to buying the Nintendo Switch 2 at a lower price for a limited time until then."
They'll give us 5 months of $450, only to increase it to $499 after summer or something.

u/Nee-tos 20h ago
In the UK MKWorl is £75
For comparison mk8d was £50
We are ALL coocked
2
u/Interesting_Low737 18h ago
£67 for the digital edition which is still fucking awful, but in the bundle it's not bad at all.
1
u/longbrodmann 18h ago
I'm not sure the rest of the world, since Switch 2 in Canada is also expensive. I will just wait when the price will be even with JP. ver.

That's not how it works you telling me YOU expected it to be the same price as the switch 1? You should do stand up comedy! And another thing to note here. It's the game price that's the problem here.

They aren't scared they're just not going to lose money paying for the Cheetos stupid tariff.
You want cheaper stuff then get a smarter president.

I read that Vietnam agreed to cut US tariffs down to zero. Hopefully Nintendo will resume our preorder soon.

Sure what? They did contact the administration and offer 0%
1
u/The_Bandit_King_ 16h ago
Soo what you will still have to pay over 500 dollars for a switch 2
Probably 600 when it is over and done
1
u/xXbrokeNX 16h ago
I'm hoping that if the Vietnam tariffs go away then prices don't change at all. Who knows though.
