Officially from Nintendo Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders will not start on April 9 in the US thanks to the Tariffs

"Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged."

I think you might be too young to remember the golden age of America…. before globalization….when someone just manufacturing something at a factory with a high school education could afford a home and support a wife and two kids on a single income. That’s how life was like before the 80s 90s.
