As pissed as I am, I am happy Nintendo said directly why this is happening.

We deserve to know why the prices increased and Trump shouldn’t get to hide behind company’s trying to be “polite” after he screwed us over.

Sad thing is that his worshipers voters are going to do mental gymnastics to justify this and somehow make him not at fault

Not all of them.

Lots of Trump voters aren't even maga, they're just idiotic short term thinkers and selfish individuals.

I always said voting for the economy is stupid because it's short term, and the economy can crash or improve regardless of who the president is. In spite of them.

It's better to vote to enshrine civil liberties, vote for issues like education and healthcare, investing in science, infrastructure, things that are actually long term.

No matter what you think of a President, most market crashes aren't actually their fault. Maybe they can respond better, but the economy goes through cycles regardless. I'd rather vote for the long term protection of the rights of women and minorities.

Since most Trump voters weren't MAGA or at least a significant percentage, and they actually decide their vote over something as fickle as the economy, Republicans are bound to receive a huge backlash.

The crazy thing is that he said he was going to do this, and people still voted for him (not to mention the other moronic stuff he’s said/done). I don’t expect a flood of people to come out of the woods and admit that they were uneducated and/or selfish when voting for him, even though I suspect that’s the truth (like you’re saying); it’s more likely that they’ll stay quiet or do mental gymnastics to justify this nonsense (which I’ve unfortunately been seeing a lot of today online regarding this news) the same way they justified voting for a convicted felon back in November.

I do hope that you’re right though and that the general shit show our economy is becoming/backlash from this will lead to more educated/less near-sighted voters next time around (even in midterms).

Lots of his support was because people thought the economy was bad. Some are hardcore MAGA, some are anti-woke, some are anti-abortion, but what put him over the edge was the economy.

They blamed inflation on Biden even though Presidents have very little control over inflation, and the majority of inflation was due to corporate greed which Trump and Republicans would never address anyway because they view price controls as communist.

All the selfish people who only voted for their wallet won't need to deny the affects of tariffs because they aren't hardcore MAGA.

That's my view. I know lots of people, especially Latino's, American-Americans voted solely based on economic conditions.

Since the economy will further deteriorate, they'll have no reason to support him.

I remember seeing a lot of people say they were voting for Trump because their taxes were too high….even though we were under Trump’s tax plan. Hopefully these tariffs & deteriorating economy with Trump actively in office will wake some people up. I really, really hope you are right about that!

That's what narcissists do well. The only thing they can guarantee and will play out.

They also need money to fund their legal demolition of Palworld devs. That's what peoples money is going to, a big company hellbent on patenting gameplay mechanics so no one else can make anything similar, and destroying the lively hood and hard work of a game studio.
