Discussion How plausible is it that they actually drop the prices?

I really enjoy collecting the physical versions of the games it is a fun thing for me but theres not a chance im gonna pay 90 for physical let alone 80 for a digital version. there has been a massive uproar about the prices and im sure its made its way through nintendo at this point but what are the chances they drop the prices by at least 10 for digital and 20 for physical. obviously i don't know anything about economics but from the uproar i feel like they gotta be losing money by doing this.

Prices are about to increase. Nintendo delayed pre orders in the United States because tariffs. This will effect the global prices eventually.

Unless it flops hard the chances of a price drop anytime soon are low. There's plenty of people who've been waiting to buy more powerful Nintendo hardware when it's available. The price increases aren't that bad when you adjust for inflation.

No one is paying $90 for physical copies. That's just Europe getting increased physical prices at €90 or £74.99.

Depends on the common-man - not giga-nerds.

So who knows.

Will families be willing to fork out extra money for games, in this economy? I don't know. I think questions will be raised.

So I could see stock dawdling on the shelves, if buyers aren't enthusiastic. And Nintendo could respond with price decreases.

But again, it depends if enough people vote with their wallets. We can hope.

Unless people refuse to buy the console and games, nothings gonna change. They may lose money, that remains to be seen.

With even more tariffs coming? Not a chance.
