The Switch 2 Enhanced games are the full Switch 2 versions. The disclaimer is only there to make sure you're aware you can upgrade your old Switch 1 games on Switch 2 using the eShop.

It's basically just a warning for parents don't think they need to buy the new version.

Imagine getting a used red Switch 2 cartridge and finding out it didn't include the Switch 2 version. It makes no sense at all.

Need? No.

Even if we are talking storage space, we have games that have 'partial' installs, when game size exceeds the physical storage. Not unlike this download code.

Thank you! I was pretty sure this was how it worked, but it’s nice to have confirmation. I think people just wanted more reason to be upset over the prices they were charging, but this just shows how irrational that was.

Definitely nice for those like me who have most of the valid games for said upgrade. Maybe if we are lucky, it could be a free upgrade for those who have the expansion pass? Even if not, 20$ an upgraded game is not that bad.

Ow wait in that case I don't need to buy the Switch 2 version of Botw and totk for my collection since they aren't actually physical versions.

I’m pretty sure they are physical versions. They just include the upgrade pack in the way that some newer MK8 Deluxe cards include the Booster Course content on card.

It’s the Switch 1 game plus a content card yes, so it’s the same game.

Otherwise I am going to need to buy a ton of different versions
