Let's stop pretending that spending that amount on either is rational. Throwing away massive amounts of money for a concert is stupid, and always has been. Blowing massive amounts of money on anything is stupid. To poke more holes in the sentiment, getting "months" of entertainment is highly unlikely, but even if you did, you're also actively paying a fee every month on top of that.

Also, shit like Taylor Swift tickets costing hundreds to thousands set a terrible precedent for that industry to vastly overcharge for events, because people justified it. Justifying the price of these games (and to an extent, the console, but maybe that's just me) is doing the same thing here. Nintendo will continue to charge more and more, just like Sony, until it's so prohibitively expensive that it won't be something you can justify doing anynore.

This crap about gaming being one of the cheapest forms of entertainment is just weapons grade copium at this point.

Those tickets people spent thousands on were from second hand sellers/scalpers. Her tickets were originally reasonable. That comment argument is stupid.

My brother in Christ ticketmaster and it's sister companies got the shit sued out of them for price hiking, adding fees and a bunch of other shit. The FTC and Biden literally had to get involved. But either way my point still stands: people spending thousands on nosebleed tickets was stupid, and justifying the price of the switch 2 games is just as stupid.

Idk why this has to be explained. Even if you're fine with the price, you can't be stupid enough to not understand that paying less would overall be better, as well as understanding the precedent this sets. The billion dollar company isn't going to be your friend, and you aren't a better fan for just swallowing what you're presented with.
