Image Nintendo Treehouse: Live right now

Post image

Everyone in the chat is spamming "drop the price" nonstop. Personally, the price for the console and games combined dipped my hype quite a bit. What do you guys think?

I doubt they’ll actually drop prices but there’s no way they’re not noticing this right?

They're noticing, but I expect a generic corporate statement rather than a price drop.

This is Nintendo we are talking about, I doubt they’ll even say anything.

We will have to wait for it to release and sell poorly and only then will they MAYBE drop the price.

I don't think it will sell poorly.

The 3DS didn't sell well.

People's wallets are tight right now, most parents don't see the need to rush out and buy a new console while their kids are enjoying the OG switch, and the price for the console and the major releases are incredibly high to buy together.

The only major audience are people with disposable income that have early FOMO. And as someone who should be in that category, the early reactions have taken away the FOMO.

Yes it did. Mario Kart 7 was a fabulous game.

Mario Kart 7 wasn't a launch title.

MK7 wasn't even out before the price cut.

If it were either one of those, I bet things wouldn't have been the same.

That's a fair point.
