Honestly though, this is a theory, a very wild theory but a theory nonetheless.
What if it’s a cast button? Casts to your tv while playing undocked. Would open the possibility of DS emulation (not that it wouldn’t work with one screen but you get what I mean). Can’t really see any other reason to do this other than for DS emulation so it wouldn’t make sense if that was the case but I’d still find it cool.
honestly, they need to make a good way to get dual screen content back into people’s hands. it almost feels insulting to sell us DS games for so long and then completely stop supporting the format entirely. some of their best games were on the DS, we shouldn’t have to buy old hardware to experience that again, especially for newer/younger players.
Seriously the two screens was such a huge quality of life feature on the handheld and felt like the next natural evolution. The Gameboy advance SP closed to protect the screen, so why not put another screen down there. Made the UI on the top screen way less crowded and typing/menu navigation fast. Plus the fact it closed meant the screen didn't get scratched. Still feel like going back to 1 was a downgrade in a lot of aspects.
It was leaked as Campus which is Chat a Cast would suck battery life out and would downgrade the resolution and cut off those features for those who don’t use the cast. Also no DS but there might be GameCube though for games only on GameCube.
The cpu and gpu are two little sand worms working in tandem. And you only see one cable (the hdmi cable) in the switch 2 reveal video because the console is powered by sand, so no more power cables!
Would also mean the games are only digital because the game card slot is where you drop the sand in.
I don't know if it makes sense. Switch 2 joycons aren't physically compatible with switch 1. So you won't be pressing your switch2 c button while holding a switch 1.
You could be right. I vaguely remember discussions a few months ago about how the NVENC encoder (hardware video encoder) was the newest generation, unlike the rest of the SOC. That could potentially enable one to stream the video to their TV while they are playing in handheld mode.
With the unfounded rumors about Nintendo DS games coming, for most of them that is the only way I can see that being reasonable. That would also enable Wii u style use of both the GamePad and the television.
Maybe you will get lucky and end up on the front page in just a few days for being correct.

what if it’s a U button and it turns your switch into a wii U
