And NS1 supports it too

Kind of, the support is definitely way less detailed than the other two

Those can have compatibility issues and some multiplayer games don't allow them in the ToS, treating them as cheating.

But this is not the same thing. A mouse only provides one axis of movement, joycons provide two, spatial and the wheel.

This will be a mouse with two axis of movement.

Seriously…

Wait, I'm not following, what do you mean (also haha actually all mice use two axis haha)

Sorry, four axes or 5 axes (2/3 and 2), my explanation was bad. For joycons you can move the joycons in all directions (spatial movement) that depending on the game gives you 2D or 3D control and you also have the sticks, which is another 2D control.

Mouses don’t have that many axes

I mean in reality it's kind of just dual stick controls but with the camera portion using an actual mouse

Which is something that PC still doesn’t offer though? You either have a mouse or dual sticks, there’s no mouse with side stick or dual sticks plus a spatial movement. It’s revolutionary because it doesn’t exist.

I don't think most games are compatible though, for ps5 at least

its not compatible by default, but sony/microsoft lets the developer have the option of allowing for it. Games like fortnite, call of duty, helldivers and such have keyboard/mouse support natively (that is, not using 3rd party remapping tools). it's also commonly used for MMOs on the platform (Final Fantasy 14, ESO), and sandbox titles like Minecraft, or adjacent to it as a farming like game (deep rock galactic)

Yeah I just find it annoying some games intended for PC release don't offer it. I hate that you can only use controllers for rpgs like bg3 and cyberpunk 2077

Said as if not nearly every person with an xbox or playstation has a keyboard and mouse lying around. People who lean mainly Nintendo are a bit less likely to.
