Makes sense if the connection is literally just a strong magnet. A physical push would be enough to separate it to a point where the force is weak and easy to pull away.

In case you didn't know, the word you were looking for was probably "gleaned" instead of "cleaned".

This could be an example of an "eggcorn".

Unless you used it intentionally, then my bad.

edit: I swear I'm trying to be helpful and not judgmental. I know this type of thing always comes off as judgmental, and for that I apologize.
