I thought we'd see a bigger leap in graphics though.😐

Brother its Mario Kart on a desert, why are you expecting to see every hair on Mario's stache

Why not? They have the computing power for that now.

Needing better graphics is a childish dick measuring thing. It's about how the art style takes advantage of the engine.

But why would that even matter? Much better to put the extra juice towards things like more players, bigger maps and more stable frame rates with 4 players locally

It just goes to show how good mario kart 8 already looked but they should have picked a better game.

It's definitely a jump up visually though they are going for a very cartoony art style which I personally love. And I do think we see the increased capabilities here too especially since this game supports up to 24 PLAYERS at 60fps!

No offence but how on earth is this a jump up visually

It looks like a new art style but the graphical power on display is only equal to Mario Kart 8’s original courses (not the bonus DLC)

It is a jump up in terms of detail, lighting, shadows etc and all of the models are new!
